You have to be living on Mars not to know that countries have been saying no to Uncle Sam since time immemorial even before Kosovo's UDI. Why have the Arabs not recognized Israel? Why have China blocked Taiwan's UN application? Why have Iran not given up its nuclear tech? These are just 3 examples and I don't see any of them caving in to Washington.

If anything is to go by, it is your country (I presume you must be an American since you claimed to have voted) that should watch out. The world has suffered the financial crisis grieviously because of America. And this they won't forget overnight. Nor expect them to continue to trust the US, financially or otherwise. It also tells everyone that the balance of power in the world has shifted away from the Yankees for good. What more proof do you need than the US not daring to confront the Russians in Ossetia, Bush all but begging Beijing to help shore up the IMF, and the US desperate to quit Iraq next year?

Finally what makes you think Obama is not using Hilary to pacify those Democrats who supported her instead of him? He might just discard her once he has consolidated his position. And she won't even have her Senate job to go back to then. And hubby Bill might well be in the arms of a new Monica Lewinsky by that time!
