O WoW what a news story! Albanian Youths throw stones at a serb school. Has B92 reported the almost daily routine of serb/montenrgin youths stoning Kosovo tourists buses traveling through Montenegro in the summer months. NO, because kids will be Kids!
Hey it might of been the "German Trio"! Hahaha

These youths should be delt with accordingly, as there shoould be no room for crimes that are based on ethnicity. At the same time, reports like these from B92 do not help the situation. Such generalized headlines "Albanians agian throw stones at Serb school" is wrong approache. In any society there is a percentage that are extreme and ruin the repuation of the vast majority. In any case it is not right for a "moderate" media outlet, such as B92 considers it self to be, to report news in this manner. It would also be wrong to say that, the whole Serbian nation is guilty of what happened in Croatia, Bosnia, Kosovo or vice versa.

And compare to what "they",the serbs have done, compared to what they want now to do again,we are very calm.

to all friends commenting here. Obviously democracy isn't just for all, so is the freedom of speech and commenting here. I am a Kosovar Albanian, and now referring to my Serbian friends: Stop finger pointing at these incidents and overreacting on such issues as 800 vs. 57 students now. The whole worlds knows what has been going on here and what have you done. It is amazing how no Serb could finger point at that time and ask for justice or judge whether smth is right or wrong. On the other hand (to my Albanian friends), being an orphan does not justify these actions, there has been plenty of maturity shown by Albanians and no need to provide more ground for provocative actions. We have tolerated Serbian cities and multi-ethnicity in Kosovo.

Stoned at cemetries, stoned at school. Not surprising when Kosovo is getting lessons on democracy from the States and GB where racism is rife. There are racist motivated murders on the streets of Britain almost every day,and it really sickens me when the so-called western powers start preaching democracy and human rights. How about sorting out the mess in your own back yard first rather than lecturing others.

What a dry news day this must have been, I mean they get stoning our schools, the police and emargency services here in Sweden almost every second week...so what? Thats a police matter and of no relevance for publishing. "Albanians"...in every normal democracy this would not have been accepted, actually 2 years imprisonment in Sweden if you use the term of a group in connection to the crimes of "the few"...this should apply to both the albanians and serbs in their reporting. "the serbs" did this and that.."the albanians did this and that"...cant you all just get along, drink som "tea" or "vodka" and relax...

What a convincing way to educate K-Serb kids about how lucky they are to be the world's most priviledged minority in Ahtisaari's paradise state of "Kosova"!

Peggy

No matter what you think your reasons are, you can NEVER justify terrorizing and hurting children.

Anyone who even tries to excuse this is not a decent human being. Children are innocent and should not be targeted for any payback.

Should be Serbs now go to Albanian schools and target their children in response? Should be Serbs go and terrorize Albanian children for all the crimes committed against them over decades? We all know the crimes against the Serbs were committed and continue to be committed so let's justify Serbs telling their kids to go and do the same now, or just not parenting them and allowing them to do this.

I condemn all such attacks, without reservation. they are not acceptable, and all of the crimes of serbia or individual serbs in kosovo/a does not justfy such hate crimes.

we (i) cannot complain, bitterly, about the hate speech on this site, and then justify or remain silent about hate attacks in another arena, whether on an empty school or against the actual children.

all such attacks, and then even worse their justification, give ammunition to all of the extremists and haters: see, they can never live together, they have to stay in ethnically "clean" enclaves, we have to partition, keep up the barbed wire, fight again, and on and on.

hate just feeds off itself, hate and revenge, and somewhere the chain must be broken. start with the children.

Albanians are always blaming others for their problems. It used to be, and still is, the serbs who are to blame for albanian missery and failure as a people but even the EU are being blamed lately for exploiting Kosovo etc. Albanians should take a good look in the mirror and you will find the real problem.

It’s ironic that the birthplace of Lekë Dukagjini of all places becomes the centre of discussion about revenge. Lekë himself would have founded impossible to legislate between kid’s squabbles.
Despite the rhetoric number of Serbs of the municipality remains significantly close to that of the pre-war time.
Nonetheless, quick response to these acts remains the real test for law enforcing agencies in Kosova. There is no better trust building measure than the functioning and equality of the law.
What is highlighted here is the symbolism of these acts the hence a tendency on the part of Serbian media to overinflate the importance of such cases.
Overrepresentation of the same incidents against Serbs and underrepresentation of those against Albanians is making us Albanians feel like we have overstayed our welcome in here.

Lili,

It appears that you have lost every touch with the reality. Sometimes is better to stay silent than to make such comment as you did. If you did not find enough inner strength to condemn this violent act against the children that occurred in Lipljan, then is better to keep law profile than trying to find an excuse and justify obvious violence.

There is nothing wrong to condemn violence even when the violence is committed by your own fellow people.

Having said this, I actually did not refer only to Lili but to all Albanian posters in this site.

Be human and condemn the violence, especially when the violence is aimed at children!

I think that b92 should begin to censor comments that make no sense or the kind of comments with sole purpose to insult.

I don't know if it is my imagination or not, but the Albanians seem to have turned very extreme with their views lately.

I wonder if it has something to do with their promise of independence not going as well as expected? A word of advice to my Albanians friends, promises from the US are worthless.

Just go and ask Karadzic and he'll confirm. The US promised him something but that was only temporary also.

We should all know that raising children to hate and to throw stones at other children based on ethnicity is a big no no. It truly does amaze me how the Albanians continue to justify crime.

It really is no wonder why these people find it so difficult to live in peace and harmony with their neighbours.

lili, your comment makes no sense. You imply "they" are the elementary school children who burned, raped, killed, etc (and you conveniently overlook members of your own community have reciprocated in kind).

You also seem to imply with your logic that attacking school children, or the institution they learn in, is just compensation for crimes others committed. mindless hatred, either from the stone throwers or from ill-thought comments, should never be targeted against children.
