To Nikos,
I suppose Croatia has some constructive problems about entering EU and its "poltiical elite" is trying now by the repetition of "national concept" a l? Tudjman to attract attention of its several friends inside divided EU to help her enter. Serbia on the other hand, although officialy stating that it aims to enter EU, has no serious intentions of entering the club. You should know that when the ex-yugoslav war started, all secessionist states claimed that they were for deomocracy and wanted freedom from Serbia IN ORDER TO ENTER EU, and hegemonistic Belgrade did not let them breathe. What Belgrade did was only to protect Serbs inside those territories that on their democratic path toward EU started to annihilite Serbs. Today we see that only Slovenia is in EU, and not certainly by its great democratic merit but more by its geographic position. I only wonder why EU does not accept Croatia, Muslim Bosnia, Haradinaj's Kosovo, and FYM alias Macedonia, and stops bothering Serbia.

Croatia that is a few steps before the entrance of the EU went to the International Penal Court against Serbia regarding the horrible nation cleansing operations that Milosevic had organised against Croats during the wars in former Yugoslavia.

The answer of Serbia who wants to join the EU too was to gling to the same Court against Serbia for the horrible "operation Storm" etc.

Both ethnic cleansings did happen. Not a genocide happened.

Both monsters, Tudjman and Milosevic, forgot the mutual national hatred that they had cultivated in order to be surely in power, and agreed in a secret way to partition Bosnia and end with Muslims.

But now the problem of both Croatia and Serbia is their assession to the EU, not new fires and passions through the corridors and the halls of some court. The same fires led to wars, pain, blood, sorrow and nation cleansings.

How will be possible for the two countries to co-exist tomorrow in Brussels while at the same time they will be killing each other in the Hague?

The question has nothing to do with the trials at the International Court for the former Yugoslavia on the awful crimes committed during the recent wars. It is more than obvious that the EU cannot accept inside it the protagonists of those massacres and whoever is covering them.

The international court deals with individuals not with countries and nations.

If the court will definitely accept what Croatia and Serbia want to be accepted it will condemn countries, states, nations no matter who is governing right now.

I understand that all this touches sentiments, feelings and painful memories but the memories of the former enemy are not for its enemy's crimes are not lighter.

Nevertheless my question is where acts like these last ones of Croatia and Serbia lead? What will be the end of this road? Is this to the benefit of the citizens of Croatia and Serbia and for their countries or it will keep them away of a decent life in a developed and democratic state?

Could someone give me a serious and responsible answer?

Srbijo what took you so long? There was no need to wait to see if croatia was going to sue first. What is croatia going to sue Serbia for?

Nothing new at all in Serbia. As if Milosevic was in power. I wouldn't doubt they would attack Croatia, Bosnia and Kosovo, if they only had the power.

I hope Serbia launches another case in the ICJ, so that we can find out, at least partially what happened in WW2 during the nazi-era greater Croatia. The truth must come out. Tito only hid the truth under the umbrella of "brotherhood and unity" and not through "truth and reconcilliation."
