EA,

The reason Serbs do not connect any kosovo issues with Presevo Bujanovac and Medvedja is because they believe that all of Serbia including KiM is Serbian.

Second, you cannot negotiate with what you do not legally possess. Why would Serbia give up land in one part of its country in exchange for another? The fact that we will retain sovereignty over the North and southern enclaves is a temporary solution, it is ours already, and is not something that we feel the need to provide something in return for.

Third, why would Serbia negotiate over Presevo Bujanovac and Medvedja when those places have never been brought up by the international community. Only Albanians bring this up. It is simply a non-starter and an irrelevancy. Might as well ask for Beograd. T

Fourth, Albanians do not have any real POWER to request anything in Kosovo or Serbia in regards to status. Everyone knows it except you.

Fifth, the peace is kept in Serbia with a substantial military base around Presevo Bujanovac and Medvedja. Nothing to negotiate except the legal sale of personal property, in which case Albanians can move where they may have better chances for separatist dreams like in Macedonia or Montenegro. There will be no repeat of 1998 and KLA terrorism and ethnic cleansing and pretexts.

So why exactly should Serbia feel the need to negotiate over Presevo Bujanovac and Medvedja?

What real geopolitical or political forces would compel it to do so? I do not understand this request at all.

Enjoy your limited self governance in your areas, and let us enjoy our sovereignty in ours, lets keep the status quo as in reality you have "more than autonomy but less than independence" which is acceptable to us. Peace.

"With this constructive approach to this issue too, Serbia wants to foster stabilization and prosperity in the region, he continued."
Kosovars don't really think so. The Serbian aim to devide Northern Mitrovica from Kosova and that is a simple clue. If Serbia is eager to exchange territories with Kosova should recognise Kosova as an independent country first. Same right for Serbs in Kosova as to those rights enjoyed by Albanians living in Presevo Bujanovac and Medvedja.
