Our auto industry is on life support, while our oil companies have posted record profits in the billions over the past two to three years.

Here's an idea:

Have the oil companies bail out the car companies.

No cars, no oil. No oil, no profits. As long as Detroit continues to make gas-guzzling suburban assault vehicles let the oil companies bail them out.
