Roberto, have you run out of things to complain about so you have to resort to utter nonsense?

Seems to me that the Albanian camp is going through everything written on this site with a fine tooth comb in order to discredit Serbs a bit more.

Ataman

BTW, Roberto, AFAIK, "Albo" and "Alban" started by Albanians.

Just to prove: there is a B92 poster with the nick "Albo_Canada", his last posting I see is from 20 November 2008 00:19. And "Village-Bey" in his famous posting:

http://www.b92.net/eng/news/your_comment.php?nav_id=50445

"We all got it when the village hodja explained it to be the same process as milking a cow. More Albans more Milk he said. In the end, we all ended up with lots of cheese."
(village-bey, 22 May 2008 19:54)

I think, "Village-Bey" and "Albo_Canada" do endorse the use of "Albo" and "Alban" words. They are free to complain, of course. I can't speak for others, but than I won't use.

On the other hand - please show me a single case here, Serbs or anyone else would use the word "Shqiptar" without "q".

One more thing. No offense, but please use that shift key consistently ( you just wrote "may not be as patient or "civilized" as my albanian colleagues").

Because "Albo" is probably not offensive, but "albanian" the way you wrote is. Of course, this was just a typo on your side - but please consider that novel of Ferenc Molnár, the people are sensitive here to capital letters.

Roberto,

I wonder, do you know the "N"-word for "Albanian" after all?

"Albo" and "Alban" is/was frequently used by Albanians, Roberto. Just search in the past postings. It's an English word, Serbs NEVER use it as an "N-word".

There is an "N-word" in Serbian for "Albanian" and B92 would ruthlessly censor it out. It's only a missing "q" difference from how Albanians call themself. Ask every Albanian or Serb, they will confirm. It is also used in Bulgarian/Macedonian, Hungarian, sometimes (rarely) in Russian. It's a slender in all these languages.

veki -- i may not be as patient or "civilized" as my albanian colleagues, and yr fellow nationalists are obviously on yr side, so let me just put it this way: in the US when someone uses the N word, esp.ly a white person, they are chastised for it, or worse, as well they should be. there is so much ugly history, so much bitter racism, death, misery, etc. attached to such language. they would quickly be persona non-grata, and would surely NEver be published in anything reputable, web-based or not.

but when YOU write "albo" and all yr other slurs, well, here, it is just business as usual. so what message do you think that sends to the civilized world? along with all the deafening silence on yr side of the fence.

and the "moderate" members of the Serb-camp, so called. you must embrace this, i never hear a peep of a complaint.

Don't you understand, if the US veto EULEX six point plan in the UN SC meeting then resolution 1244 will continue to be in effect. So EULEX or 1244 will always protect Serbias terittorial integrity.

Uni I am not sure how you feel that Tadic's plan to let Eulux into Kosovo is a great victory for Serbia against the west- It is even in doubt that the conditions he set to allow this betrayl of Serbian Sovereignty will be respected.

Tadic's boss the French ambassador was very clear when he said that "no one who is pro EU can be against EULEX,” and once again we can rely upon Tadic to capitulate without so much as a parliamentary debate.

If the ruling coalition is for EULUX, they should individually have their say and vote in parliament so that the Serbian people know exactly who wants EULUX to create a hostile country on sovereign territory.

Prishtina is very wise to wait until the new US administration to find a solution to the EULEX dilemma.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will take good care of this issue!

Is that why Serbia is so anxious to find a favorable solution before the Albanian loving lady comes to power?

US and UK will veto the Ban /Serbian sellout. Rice is meeting Solana and then Solana will meet Ban.

They will veto and still move in, what is Serbia going to do, file a complaint or sue the EU nations they need? Italy's Vice Minister visited Kosova (supporting Ahtisaari), Thaci and Sejdiu are in UK meeting with Brown and Miliband, Greece said some nice words, two top US envoys visited Kosova and Serbia, Romania was forced to shut up...all to support us. EU is closing ranks, and wants EULEX to go in as EU /US wants, Serbia can choose EU or not.

ben

pre 15 godina

Prishtina achived what it wanted to achive: said clearly thet no solution about Kosova can be found without considering Kosova, regardless if it is UN secretary or EU. Next time teh negotiation table is and will be in Prishtina. The Prishtinas JO was of formal rather than substantial form.

Aparently things will evolve as Mr Frid said in Prishtina: it is only temporary deal that will allow to EULEX to dismantel the Serbian paralel structures. Maybe Mr Fried guarnteed Prishtina that in north will be send mainly american members of EULEX???

And I would realy like to see this 6 point plan what is about.

Mike

pre 15 godina

If the debate goes to the UNSC, as it should, the onus of veto will be on the US, not anyone else. Most likely, the US will not veto because that scuttles the entire EULEX mission. More likely, the US will abstain from voting, allow the vote to go through, but say "we don't agree with it" in order to cull favor from Pristina. Either way, Jeremic has played this very well.

As for the possible recognition of Kosovo by Greece, let them recognize. It does nothing to change the situation in Kosovo now, and if any Albanian actually thinks that by Greece recognizing it supports Thaci, they're clearly delusional. There's a major difference between recognizing that there's an 800 pound gorilla in the room and actually being OK with it. In fact, 10 more countries could "recognize" Kosovo before the end of the month if they like - it still won't solve the impending partition of the region, nor will it mean that any of these countries, with the exception of Albania, actually cares about the internal dynamics of Kosovo. The entire world recognizes Bosnia as a country, and it's more internally divided than ever.

Acceptance of the 6-point plan is a tangible victory for Serbia. Greece recognizing Kosovo, if and when it happens, is diminishing returns at this point for Albanians.

Patrik

"Ban’s spokesman Brendan Varma told Kosovo daily Zeri that the secretary-general was not planning to give up on or change the six-point plan."

The UN SG does not generally change his mind once he publicly takes a position. Belgrade has played this very well by exercising restraint and going through diplomatic channels. Thaci and his crew have never displayed an ability for diplomacy and their constant threats and refusal to bend will be their undoing. Score a point for Serbia..........

“This means that for us, a legal state is essential, as is the improvement of the current situation not only in Kosovo, but in the entire region in the context of regional stability. Secondly, EULEX is the EU, and no one who is pro EU can be against EULEX,” the French ambassador said.

If Eulex is the EU why are America a part of it...When did they join the EU??????

I am pretty sure things will get nasty here as the EU has made such a mess of it. The UN are still legally in the driving seat so let's see what happens at the next pit stop.

As for a legal state the ICJ will decide that!!!!

I can hardly believe how a former minister that has worked as the Chair of Democratisation and Human Rights working table at the Stability Pact defends these kind of logics : "small nations, small politics"!!!

Peace is not about big vs. small nations; it's about recognizing your own historical and future responsibilities. In this particular case, Serbia can't become a “big nation” among nations without recognizing its belligerent and quasi apartheid past in Kosovo.

If the Serbian government doesn't want to talk anymore and "unilaterally" implement the 6 points plan, then Albanian Kosovars might say that the same "logic" can be applied to the Vienna talks. Let's not forget that Ahtisaari was a UN representative the same way as Ladley was. Thus, if Serbians do so, they just validate the "final solution" of the status talks: common agreement is not a requisition to have a final solution!

Observer

pre 15 godina

EULEX will deploy in Kosovo one way or another. Everyone familiar with the situation is aware that Belgrade is against everything that happens in Kosovo. The mission of Serbia is to do all it can in its power to make Kosovo fail as a state and therefore keep the hopes alive that one day inhabitants of the province will get tired and say enough is enough and lets discuss other alternatives.

The government of Prishtina has mission to make Kosovo succeed as state and better the lives of its citizens. So far Serbia has been wining this game. Prishtina is screaming laud and clear that we are not against EULEX deploying in Kosovo, however we are against EULEX deploying as neutral status without a clear mandate all over Kosovo. Remember EULEX primary mission is to support the rule of law and help in developing the new state. Take this way and EULEX becomes another UNMIK. This is not acceptable for Kosovars. For the local population UNMIK has done nothing but brought poverty and inserted corruption at the highest levels. Eight long years and Kosovo still does not have a functioning economy, functioning medical system, a healthy legal system, a functioning electrical grid. Hospitals, schools are in terrible shape. Yet billions of dollars were stolen by UNMIK officials and yet no one is responsible for all of this? Is this what EULEX is going to be? Another corrupt entity with a mission to divert funds and steal them in a form of high salaries! I urge the government of Kosovo not to accept this trap and to talk to its friends and explain to them that Kosovo is in desperate need for law abiding men and women whose aim and mission is to protect and respect the rule of law. Kosovo does not need another group of bureaucrats whose specialty is figuring ways to steal and corrupt the system.

In the long term Serbs are playing with fire. The world is aware that Serbs only back down when they are presented with the threat of force. Remember Krajina where Serbs refused offer after an offer. There nothing more dangerous and desperate and when you play a game of either all or nothing. I wonder what does NATO have in its bags for the Serbs ten years from now when we are still in this situation

Good idea, put off any new talks until after the new administration takes office in Jan (US). That should give a start date of Feb-Mar.
This will give EULEX a good 2-3 months on the ground and make negotiating whether or not they can deploy an interesting debate. Fruitless but interesting.

Glasgow Branch said....
You have to know one thing that the flow of the river cannot change. I know for sure that most of the Serbian nation knows and has accepted the reality that Kosovo’s strory is done and dusted, but to be really honest I feel sorry for the small part of the nation tha still lives and have hopes on Kosovo issiue.

Wee man you may have sneaked into the high flats in Knightswood but remember one thing.... The Serbian Nation will never accept the Illegal UDI and neither does a significant majority of Glasgow.

Great job Serbia on your lobbying. Everyday that 150+ countries keep shrinking, especially the ones that matter the most, your neighbors. We await Greece's recognition. In the mean time, I can't wait for Jeremic person to walk out, it's the new rage in Serbia.

Did I mention that Kosovo participated in the NATO parliamentary Assembly?

Good idea, put off any new talks until after the new administration takes office in Jan (US). That should give a start date of Feb-Mar.
This will give EULEX a good 2-3 months on the ground and make negotiating whether or not they can deploy an interesting debate. Fruitless but interesting.

And I would realy like to see this 6 point plan what is about.

gone with the wind is eulex issue. lets wait for obama. but it is wiser for the west to shift their power and resources to the more dire population in congo, darfur, zimbabwe, burma to name a few. in kosovo you can see huge 3 story houses everywhere, no slums like haiti. everyone can eat 3 meals a day. plenty of food in store and nobody getting hurt in queing for food ration as in africa.

Wether we've lost Kosovo or did not, we'll see but that doesn't conceal the fact that Albos are either threatening or behaving like cry-babies in USA and Britain. And I dont blame you: with all those millions for lobbying and terrorizing not only everybody else but also your own people, and the problem is still tangible and there is no one to bribe anymore.
One thing is for sure: if you steal property of another the chances are you wont be able keep it forever.I don't know if this presents a problem to you?
Justice will prevail, this way or another.

Prishtina is very wise to wait until the new US administration to find a solution to the EULEX dilemma.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will take good care of this issue!

Is that why Serbia is so anxious to find a favorable solution before the Albanian loving lady comes to power?

Don't you understand, if the US veto EULEX six point plan in the UN SC meeting then resolution 1244 will continue to be in effect. So EULEX or 1244 will always protect Serbias terittorial integrity.

Score a point for Serbia..........

veki -- i may not be as patient or "civilized" as my albanian colleagues, and yr fellow nationalists are obviously on yr side, so let me just put it this way: in the US when someone uses the N word, esp.ly a white person, they are chastised for it, or worse, as well they should be. there is so much ugly history, so much bitter racism, death, misery, etc. attached to such language. they would quickly be persona non-grata, and would surely NEver be published in anything reputable, web-based or not.

but when YOU write "albo" and all yr other slurs, well, here, it is just business as usual. so what message do you think that sends to the civilized world? along with all the deafening silence on yr side of the fence.

and the "moderate" members of the Serb-camp, so called. you must embrace this, i never hear a peep of a complaint.

Ataman

pre 15 godina

Roberto, have you run out of things to complain about so you have to resort to utter nonsense?

Seems to me that the Albanian camp is going through everything written on this site with a fine tooth comb in order to discredit Serbs a bit more.
