While deplorable there is a difference in bottles being thrown and being shot at.
Also I drive though many Serbian villages over the course of a week and there is no difference in it and the neighboring Albanian village.
I also know many Serbian language assistants that work in Pristina with no problem in movement.

Albanians do nothing wrong. If there was an explosion in Pristina, it was the work of serbs. Actually, milosevic did it. He planned all of this along with arkan.

Diana

pre 15 godina

The Albanians are stirring up trouble in the Northern serb areas, they threaten violence if they don't get their own way and then a bomb is thrown into the ICO yard!!! we then hear that Eulex are going to deploy by 2nd Dec illegally and in disregard to the UN!! I think it's the Albanians threatening- either give us what we want or else!! After all Albanians have tried these tactics before- serbia should ask Russia for protection if the EU/UN can't provide it and act within the law.

MikeC

Serbs in Kosovo live in ghettos. They can't go anywhere without NATO protection and yet albanians claim serbs to be behind this attack. Albanians have never ever taken responisbility for any attack what so ever.
A few weeks ago serbs were shot at when visiting a cemetary and even then albanians blamed the serbs.
Pointless having any discussion with people who won't take any responsibility what so ever.
All albanians do here is come up with groundless accusations and stories that not even little children would believe.

Dear Ddusani-djakove,

This is just to bring to your attention and to attention of those who have supported your comments that Arkan is dead for years.

This makes him an unlikely suspect in this particular case.

However, I would not exclude a possibility that you might find a witness in Kosovo that would confirm your theory.

With best wishes

Assuming it wasn't the Serbian secret service who did this, Milosevic style, how can Thaci control 2 million people? No one can, some people will always do stupid and bad things. The (French and Spanish) plan is dead now anyway, they thought they could sneak it by forcing the Albanians to accept it in 72 hours.

Wesley Clark and others are noticing too. Expect US involvment soon. No 'Bosnia' for 2% of population!

There is no place for EULEX in Kosovo anymore. If Serbs dont want EULEX, why do Albanians need it.
and with respect to who are terrorists, the answer is the ones who slaughtered in Bosnia and Kosovo, and being sheltered and praised as heroes in Belgrade...
Kosovo's tolerance and patience has run away. New front has been opened.

I think Pristina should be sent a crystal clear message,Thaci and his gang should be personally held responsible for the safety of the UN personnel.
Second if the Albanian leaders don`t agree, bad luck, the mission should be enforced upon then,if they continue to spark violence we should bomb these terrorists.
I quote John Bolton:"We bombed,it was the right thing, but we bombed the wrong side".

@sp - read the excellent post #21 by Marc. I think he explained it quite well. You may know the difference between the alphabetical soups ICO, EULEX, UNMIK, UNCHR, CoE, EC, EP, etc, but people that resort to explosives tend to see the world in only 2 colours: Black and white.

Peggy,
I like your way of thinking. However it was not EULEX that was attacked, it was the office of the only international representative that has public said that the 6 pooint plan could not be forced on the Kosovar people. Ino other words the only non pro serb voice heard this week. Wonder who would be the most suspected group.

Marc

pre 15 godina

Since the Kosovars (Albanians&Serbs) have in my view no clue in how to distinguish between ICO and EULEX, or who has been representing who at this weeks negiotiating table to try and convince Thaci & Friends that the UN resolution in needed, I cannot rule out that this was again a not so smart action by the same people issuing threats of violence if EULEX comes in under the UN.

Or maybe it was not a dumb action considering the timing, pressure will now definitely increase in getting the 6-point plan through, so if it was done by the people unhappy with the 6-point plan, you just gave the international community an excuse to take the silk glove of the iron fist, played into the hand of the countries not recognizing Kosovo.

Yesterday was another example that Kosovo leaders do not control their own ranks, which is very dangerous.

It is a miracle that no one was injured or killed!

ICO is implementing Athisaari, which means "supervised independence", EULEX is a technical mission, NOT implementing Athisaari. Kosovo's independence is conditional to be assessed after 2 years and reassessed after that.

Control your ranks, Kosovo is making an fool of itself with extremist statements of war and retarded actions like yesterday in the yard of ICO and opposing the countries and organizations that are here to assist ALL of Kosovo's people.

Jovan, I have intentionally opened the comments on this article because I knew in advance what the reaction of the Serbian people would be!
That’s exactly the point here, why should an Albanian bomb ICO office, when we all here know the role of the mission. Did you ever ask why ICO was never mentioned during the EULEX installation talks with Belgrade?
I can give an answer: that is because ICO mission is to support Kosova’s development until it joins the EU as an independent country, while CoE mission is to closely monitor these developments.
EULEX is a non-executive power mission that would monitor Justice, Police and Customs having about 2000 international people on the spot.
All this is in accordance with the Mr. Ahtisari plan and adopted by our parliament, and all this is included in our constitution as well. So, why should an Albanian do this???
No reason of course, but as always, when something crucial for Kosova is to be decided with the high EU officials, as is EULEX deployment agreement with UN, there is something “unusually” happening. Does this sound familiar to anyone here, when we remind the ‘90ies?

Luckily, that time is over and all (EU+USA+UN) are aware of the “unusual” events in Kosova, these tricks will never pass.

No one needs EULEX more than Kosovars.

The corruption, crime, the rule of law the image, links with the economic centres, development, security for investors etc is all that EULEX can achive much more easily and quickly than if Kosova left alone.

The mom of the imbeciles is always pregnant.

No one needs EULEX more than Kosovars.

The corruption, crime, the rule of law the image, links with the economic centres, development, security for investors etc is all that EULEX can achive much more easily and quickly than if Kosova left alone.

To fight the corruption and crime and other issues Kosova will need 10-15 years, with EULEX it will take 5-7 years. You want to waste another generation???

>>>>>>>"Yesterday was another example that Kosovo leaders do not control their own ranks, which is very dangerous."

Instead of "Plus, Feith has been helping Albanians so I wonder why did this."

I meant to say "Plus, Feith has been helping Albanians so I wonder who did this." (hinting that Serb police are in. Yesterday Jeremic said Albanians promised violence when no one did...)

This is Arkan for sure, he doesn't like EULEX - from the start. Mr. Eshlani will catch him and send to the Hague with new Kosovo Passport - express rout through UN-New York.

Albanians do nothing wrong. If there was an explosion in Pristina, it was the work of serbs. Actually, milosevic did it. He planned all of this along with arkan.

While deplorable there is a difference in bottles being thrown and being shot at.
Also I drive though many Serbian villages over the course of a week and there is no difference in it and the neighboring Albanian village.
I also know many Serbian language assistants that work in Pristina with no problem in movement.
