They can make any decision. Most likely it will be as dumb as counting on an eagle being vegetarian and they will succeed to p*ss off the 5% as well as 95%. The only non-dumb solution is to have negotiations between Albania (as a country) and Serbia. EULEX is good only for people who work there and do nothing for receiving some serious salary. Others who benefit are the Albanian/Serbian homeowners who charge the overpriced rent. Nothing will be achieved except maintaining the high level of rental prices in Pristina.

Now this comment shows what the Albanians and their leaders have in mind,they don`t care about EULEX they want to get their foot into North Mitrovica and ethnically cleanse all the Serbs on the Northern side like they did in Pristina,Pec and other towns.
Their strategy is Bujanovac and Presevo will be our due to our high birth rate and we will cleanse Northern Mitrovica from Serbs by time.

If they are mor or less as the status of the German speaking Italians in South Tirol/Alto Adige (if I am not wrong that region is one of the many italian regions but with special status: that means that the greter part of the local taxes are kept in the region and only the minor part gose to Rome + cutoms + the German language is official and any member of the public admin. needs to speak German- here Kosova is much more advanced Serbian is official in the entire country regardless if theer are Serbs or not + the region enjoys some priviledged ties with Austria, special laws that allows them a certain autonomus gov.ce and some other issues...) than I don't see resons of emotional reaction in Albo camp. Of course it is out of question the sovreignity of Italy over the region and the rule of the Italian law and constituion there. This is/should be MUST olso for the EULEX mission.
But on the other hand if EU makes a deal of this kind with Belgrade than it hase to deliver something to Pristina.
Did they reached agreement that Belgrade will recognise Kosova?? Did they reached agrement that Russia will not veto Kosova's membership in UN or will give their OK for Ahtisaris plan at least??? Which is the compromomise of Belgrade/Russia????

Albanians have nothing to gain and everything to lose, so EU will turn it's attention to Serbia and reach a new agreement, with Kosovars negotiating this time.

I think that this is very possible as Serbia do not intend to rule over Albanian population; the only ambition is to retain a symbolic presence of Kosovo within Serbia. Thus, just a little bit of flexibility on Albanian side would go a long way. If the long-lasting solution is not found (meaning if Belgrade or Pristina are not in agreement with the imposed solution), the embryo of the future conflict will be seeded to be there forever. That would be unfortunate and should be avoided. Thus, it would be crucial to think and act responsible and bring fundamental changes in Balkan politics.

I am preatty sure that the Kosova's leadership will never accept any agreement that go against the will of Kosova's people to be free from Serbia and establishment of rule of law and sovereignity of Kosova as an independent state.

Their strategy is Bujanovac and Presevo will be our due to our high birth rate and we will cleanse Northern Mitrovica from Serbs by time.

They can make any decision. Most likely it will be as dumb as counting on an eagle being vegetarian and they will succeed to p*ss off the 5% as well as 95%. The only non-dumb solution is to have negotiations between Albania (as a country) and Serbia. EULEX is good only for people who work there and do nothing for receiving some serious salary. Others who benefit are the Albanian/Serbian homeowners who charge the overpriced rent. Nothing will be achieved except maintaining the high level of rental prices in Pristina.
I 'thought' Kosovo was a province, and as such cannot (have a say or) delay UN SC, because the UN 'should' do business with Serbia only.
I was proven 'wrong' again.
'Only' now I know that the Republic of Kosovo means business.

EULEX is dead, no Albanian will sign that. Let's hope EU and UN learned that they cannot 'negotiate' with the former colonial ruler and that to placate the unreasonable 2% you cannot upset the 95%.
Unless police, justice and borders are under Kosova control no deal will ever be struck. Neither of these are vital for the 5% Serbs (EU will supervise them anyway,) Serbs just want to partition, undermine Feb 17th AND still not recognize. Albanians have nothing to gain and everything to lose, so EU will turn it's attention to Serbia and reach a new agreement, with Kosovars negotiating this time.

England is quiet, Germany has not utter a word. The deal is set in stone. Pristina can cry, whine and make all the threats it wants. When Eulex deploys south of the ibar then that is it. This will not go through. They tried to persuade Kosova to do this when serbia and Kosova were in talks which brought along the ahtisari plan, now that took over 2 year of hard diplomacy.
NOW to try and push with this six point plan is stupid, off course Kosova will not accept! this is very much sounds like politics of the last decade when annexing Kosovo was drawn up in some table in London, that will never be the case again...
In my opinion, Serbian and Kosovo Albanian politicians should sit down and negotiate a long-lasting deal. I think that this is very possible as Serbia do not intend to rule over Albanian population; the only ambition is to retain a symbolic presence of Kosovo within Serbia. Thus, just a little bit of flexibility on Albanian side would go a long way. If the long-lasting solution is not found (meaning if Belgrade or Pristina are not in agreement with the imposed solution), the embryo of the future conflict will be seeded to be there forever. That would be unfortunate and should be avoided. Thus, it would be crucial to think and act responsible and bring fundamental changes in Balkan politics.

It would be nice to see what are about these six points so one can make a judgment.
If they are mor or less as the status of the German speaking Italians in South Tirol/Alto Adige (if I am not wrong that region is one of the many italian regions but with special status: that means that the greter part of the local taxes are kept in the region and only the minor part gose to Rome + cutoms + the German language is official and any member of the public admin. needs to speak German- here Kosova is much more advanced Serbian is official in the entire country regardless if theer are Serbs or not + the region enjoys some priviledged ties with Austria, special laws that allows them a certain autonomus gov.ce and some other issues...) than I don't see resons of emotional reaction in Albo camp. Of course it is out of question the sovreignity of Italy over the region and the rule of the Italian law and constituion there. This is/should be MUST olso for the EULEX mission.
But on the other hand if EU makes a deal of this kind with Belgrade than it hase to deliver something to Pristina.
Did they reached agreement that Belgrade will recognise Kosova?? Did they reached agrement that Russia will not veto Kosova's membership in UN or will give their OK for Ahtisaris plan at least??? Which is the compromomise of Belgrade/Russia????

This was very stupidly done. Why on Earth did not they include the Kosovo govt. in the negotiations? Did they truly believe that they can just put one over their heads.
All they have succeeded in doing now is unite the Kosovar Albanians more than ever since the war. There's no way any Kosovo govt. official can sign anything in an environment like this when all the country is practically yelling in a united way not to do such a thing, unless they do so and commit suicide right away.

Ataman, you are out of the loop my friend. Think of Poland accepting Russian rule again right after Katyn and all the massacres. This is more than "we fought there once 700 years ago," we're talking about live and 95% of people don't like that. No Albanian politician will accept it.
