See what I'm saying. The troublemakers of the Ballkans have started to talk again.. hey people leave Kosova alone OK becasue there is nothing you or russia can do. Enough is enough.. don't waste your time in something that can not be discussed. Is this beggining of world war III? I hope so.

If the K albs reject EULEX based on Serb demands, what are they going to do about it? Attack foreign soldiers protecting Serbs in their enclaves/ghettos/reservations?
Unlikely.

A deal has to be struck. The EU can not do this on its own and most likely doesnt have the finances. What Serbs/Albanians alike have to realize is that what happens to Kosovo is no longer important. There are much more pressing concerns and they don't have anything to with nation-building and armies. Its the economy people and we need ot be bracing ourselves for a big one. SO in the end Serbs/ALbanians will come together

I analyzed the statement of Ivanovic he said that Albanian Leaders are too weak. I must to remember on fact to Ivanovic these weak leaders have arrived to make a state also have arrived to secure international support and protection. My questions is what about your leaders mr Ivanovic?

Where is this exciting independence the Albanians in Kosmet keep declaring they have?

Would someone be kind enough to point to it?

seems MR oliver has not met albanians for quite a long time! If he believes that we will accept to have our freedom taken back without reacting,he is really the most stupid politician of kosovo:we have react yesterday in much more dramatic situation,we will too now,Don't doubt of it any second!

what he and pther politicians forget is that the same kosovars that fought agains serbia in 99 are still there. They wont allow anyone take away their freedom and their homeland. Rest assured that nothing will happen. Belgrade will soon be out of the picture and THE END

Ivanovic may be de facto right. But how he say it is a very bad negotiation strategy. He should use arguments instead of insulting Kosovo's Albanian leaders.

>>> and the Albanians can do little more than hem and haw but will largely be muzzled by the US,

Wrong Mike. So far US /EU have been our allies, that's why we're 'controlled by them.' What do you think will happen if they reneg or start to back Serbia?

Serbia is trying to hold it up to provoke more violence or hoping that Albanians beg to become Serbs to supposedly 'have a better future.' It will never happen.

Serbia shoudl get soem concessions from EU isntead, it will lose 100%. Before Feb 17th, they could have gotten the North or dual govt, but they wanted it all and got nothing

"In case of a disturbance of some sort, the responsibility, too, must be split between those international offices and the weak institutions.."

Then for Serbia "job is done" and washed its hands....but again it will shoot itself in foot.

I usually tend to accept what Oliver Ivanovic says as the closest thing to reality in Kosovo. He's no Serb nationalist, and he's not interested in being controlled by Belgrade. He's the closest thing to being a legitimate representative of Kosovo Serbs, so when he says a deal is about to be struck with Belgrade, and the Albanians can do little more than hem and haw but will largely be muzzled by the US, it's an objective observation.

>>> "But Ivanović believes that the Albanian dissatisfaction "can be controlled". "Kosovo Albanians are, quite assuredly, under complete control. They are controlled by international and diplomatic offices in Kosovo and Metohija, above all the U.S. office," he said. "

So he is saying that Albanians will accept anything because "they're controlled"? I'd say that Serbs are better controlled with 16,000 NATO troops, and that's how EU /NATO sees it: independence means peace.
