This dates back in 1989 since Milosevic decided to do all that crazy stuff. Jeremic could be Milosevic's cousin that's no surprise. Do you people remember when Serbia's actions in Kosova were denied by the state council in 1989. Slovenia, Croatia, etc were all against it. Old memories are still alive and will definitely be remembered as life goes on.

I just can't believe why Kosova hasn't filed genocide charges against Serbia yet. Although I'm sure that'll happen in the near future. Honestly I expected that Croatia would be the second country to accept Kosova's independence right after Albania. EU membership will take a close look at Serbia's relations with its' neighbours and that doesn't look good at all.
Most of the guys here are saying that Croatia will be in EU in 2010-2011. What if this really happens.
If Croatia has a seat at the EU headquarters what will they do when Serbia applies for the membership?.

A friend in need is a friend indeed:)

I don't undestand all these obsolete 90ies discussions: Mr. Bonus-Miles Jeremic hit Serbian interests in year 2008 at a very crucial moment of the country. Jeremich was flying all over the world last months, but he ignored the neighbours of Serbia - or he "hits" them ... nobody must wonder about the isolation of Serbia with such a FM out of control.

What we are seeing here with Jeremic's comments is the fact that if you are a Serb any comment is deemed as complete hypocrisy

Far too often on these forums these discussions descend into "you started it!" rather than analysing why someone as Jeremic might make the commments he does, in other words: take it on the chin

True, Serbia (Milosevic) caused a lot of damage but his partner in crime throught all of this was Tudjman and right behind him were Mesic, Ceku et al.

If there is to be any equality and diversity in discussions on this forum and between countries, then countries like Croatia and Albania have to accept that they cannot be exclusive to factual observations.

Why are there so many extreme Albanian commentaries on B92? Are these posts meant for supposed constructive comments and dialogue? What we have is just slanderous, vile and racist rants coming from anti-Serbian mouthpieces.

Are you condoning racism and anti semitism, because from that statement it looks like you are.

His comments were made in 1990 BEFORE the war. The rights of Croatian Serbs had just been struck off from the Croatian constitution where previously under the constitution of the SR Croatia, Serbs were recognised as a constituent minority and had full rights accorded to them which afforded them state jobs and protected them from discrimination. Serbs, Yugoslavs and women were being sacked from the state institutions. Not to mention the rehabilitation of the murderous and genocidal NDH and its many symbols.

The revisionism and blatant lies from some on the Albanian side is just shocking.

declaring openly in public that he was happy that is wife was 'neither a Serb nor a Jew'
(Niall O'Doherty, 10 November 2008 11:58)

So Niall, you are saying that he should have been happy to have his wife from Serbia? (not mentioning Jews, nothing against them) Come on man, they were just out of the war, the war that Serbs initiated and on which war there were many Croats killed by Serbs, and his comments are not to blame, it's the Serbians who should be blamed for their lost respect throughout the world, especially their neighbor's respect!

Witnessing the late history, the history of ex-Yugoslavia countries becoming independent, I see clearly that Serbs have lost all of their respect (if they at any time had it?) towards Slavic and other neighboring countries, and it’s their politics who should be blamed, not the other way around (i.e. Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia…). Initiating a war with a country, and after loosing it, trying to hide your crimes and trying to blame others for what you’ve done, is the most childish and cowardly action mankind have ever heard of! Ironically, Serbia is doing it over and over again! History says that one learns from it own mistakes, but by these actions, maybe the history proves to be wrong???

And to conclude, I thank very much Croatia, once Serbia’s ally and “brother”, for supporting our cause for independence. Hope Croatia will join EU with Albania on its side!

Greets from Prishtina!

Once again your man Vuk opens his mouth when he should keep it shut. Always blaming other countried for Serbia's troubles. Croatia has the right to sue Serbia for genocide after the started the wars in the former Yugoslavia and prolonged them. THey initiated ethnic cleansins and the mass murder and rape of the people of Croatia and Croats from Vojvodina and Bosnia Hercegovina. Vuk should be sacked as he is not helping Serbia move forward.

Here we go again. A classic trait in this part of the part of the world, selective memory. John, have you ever heard of the NDH and the atrocities it committed against Serbs, Jews, Roma & communists. Bet our friend from 'frisco', 'roberto' never heard of that one.

If you want me to be frank John, i'll take you up on 2 things, firstly Serbia should sue Croatia for what happend in WW2 and the Krajina in 1995 when over 200,000 Serbs were ethnically cleansed from their centuries old homeland while hundreds of elderly who stayed behind were brutally massacred by your troops lead by Agim Ceku and Ademi among others.

Secondly in 1990 when that most disgusting, revolting and distasteful character Franjo Tudjman was elected he immediately began a racist and discrimanatory campaign against those who disagreed with him by purging Serbs, loyal Yugoslav communists and feminists from state and civil institutions. He also facilitated the rehabilitation of the NDH and the return of some its members, stripped the rights of Serbs and other minorities as constituent members of the Croatian state as well as declaring openly in public that he was happy that is wife was 'neither a Serb nor a Jew' (bet 'roberto' from 'frisco' also didnt know that one).

Now in the light of that, can you imagine what the reaction of Krajina Serbs, Roma and the handful of Jews left in Croatia was.....

It sure as hell wasnt "I'm a celebrity get me outta here"

Mesic is one of the intellectuals and human-rights supporters to come out of the old yugoslavia, and i have to give him a lot of credit. his voice is often that of moderation and reconciliation in croatia, which frankly has had a mixed record on human rights, returnees, etc. i would like to offer him my strongest support.

and yes, i also thank him for being such a firm and consistent supporter of kosovar independence. croatia knows full well what it would be like to be under the heel of belgrade, milosevic or otherwise. he has no intention of having that happen again, either to croatia or to kosovo.

mesic knows of what he speaks.

compared to him, jeremic and his gang rate very low indeed.

thank you.

Here he goes again. Of course Mr. Jeremic, it's always someone else's fault. If it's not Croatia, it's either Bosnia, Albania, Kosovo, the EU, the UN, the US and on and on. When will this guy understand that Kosovo is gone for good and that more than 50 countries have recognized it's independence, including Montenegro for crying out loud ! Serbia is still it's own worst enemy..how sad.

Croatia will be in EU by 2010-2011 so Croats will have the last laugh. They (Croats and Slovenians) will determine what "good neighbourly relations" are. Albanians will send Agim Ceku and Rrahim Ademi to Croatia to cash in some favors.
(Albanez, 9 November 2008 21:43)

Reading through Albanian comments I can see that you are getting more spiteful as time goes by.
As your dreams of greater Albania are not being realized you are hitting hard with accusations and wishes of doom for Serbia.

Mr Albanez, are you going to send Ceku back to Croatia in his old Croatian uniform he wore during Medak pocked cleansing of Serbs or is he going to go there in his KLA uniform this time?
Him being in Croatia is nothing new. Been there, done that. Cannot frighten the Serbs with that one.
