Yes Mr.Orban is not the best choice but..he will be the next PM of Hungary i suppose so we will see if Populism will be left only for the speches...
Anyway THE tough conditions of IMF will be the only guidline for the next man at the palace...

Luigi,

Orbán is obsessed with might. He does everything to re-gain it and in the process destroys the country. He is the leader of FIDESZ which successfully made few 180 degree turns in last decades - just to stay popular. Once liberal democratic youth party - turned national conservative - turned populist plebs party.

As for F. Gyurcsány - here we have a relatively goodwilling, but pretty much inept politician who shouldn't be a politician. Being impotent is more excusable than being a dictator. But of course F.Gy. shouldn't be a politician.

On the other hand many problems which poison the everyday life in Hungary can be directly connected with the unholy presence of Orbán. I mean here: rampant anti-semitism, shocking level of nationalism, young people joining insane political organizations like "Jobbik", "64 Comitates" which are violently anti-Roma, anti-gay, anti-Semite, anti-everything, their only declared "friend" being Iranian Revolutionary Guards - see the speach of "Jobbik" president on Oct. 23.

If not Orbán, such things would never happen. The millieu on the streets is horrible. The morale of drivers is such, that they should go to Balkan and learn, how to be polite drivers. Fights erupt just for no reason. People are angry, polarized... but at the same time they never had a better life in last 100 or so years!

There is clearly somewhat wrong, don't ask me what precisely, but it's really wrong. If 10% o the population does not mind to drive a car with "H" inside of "Great Hungary" map decorated with "Árpád Stripes", that is pretty ugly.

Hey Mr.Ataman sometimes be objective with your comments! Who has the responsability of all this mess in Hungary ? Who has ruled the country in the last 4 years ? Who is the big pinocchio of all time of Hungarian politics ? Not mr.Orban...but Francesco G.

What Hungary needs to be saved from is the rampant anti-semitism, Viktor Orbán, "Jobbik" and "Magyar Gárda". Most importantly, Orbán first, the rest will follow down the toilet. It is hard to overestimate the level of destruction Orbán does to the country.
