Translation from Danish Public Radio, October 20th:

"Serb refugees visiting Kosovo under fire.

A few days ago saw a group of Kosovo Serbs visiting their old village in Kosovo, a less than warm welcome.

They were on a so-called repatrieringstur back to the village they fled in 1999 to explore the possibility of returning home again. The Danish Refugee Council is responsible for a large part of the repatriation of refugees after the war.

The visits are obviously a sensitive issue, after 9 years to return and see his house possibly as a ruin and visit the graves of relatives and old neighbors meeting. This visit saw unprecedented violent reception."

And from the councils own website:

"Shooting during returnees visit to Prizren

8-10 shots were fired as Danish Refugee Council (DRC) earlier today conducted a "Go-and-See" visit of a group of Kosovo displaced Serbs to their former home in a village close to Prizren, Kosovo. The situation is under control and no persons were hit. DRC is now taking steps to further investigation of the incident.

The group of displaced Serbs were visiting their former hometown as they are considering to return from their interim stay in Serbia. Since 2002 DRC has organised 331 "Go-and-See" visits with the support of the UNHCR and the Kosovo authorities.

Immidiately after the incident the group was escorted to a safe location and offered relevant support. They will return to Serbia tomorrow.

It is not clear whether the shooting was aimed at either DRC or the group of potential returnees."

Why would I make them up? Everyone knows, Belgrad knows, you in Sydney doesnt since you propably have never lived or been in Kosova. Late 80s until late 90's more then 500.000 Albanian took refugee abroad.

Note* Im not counting the Kosova War 98-99.

Sure many of us can return today, but so can K-Serbs aswell. And dont bring me they have to be protected by KFOR since its not true and majority of K-Serbs live south of Ibar River surrounded by K-Albanians.

You do realise that your 'statistics' make no sense whatsoever - either that or the birthrate on Mars has gone way up. But hey, if you're going to make things up, might as well go for a nice round number.

For the sake of truth and fairness, I beg to differ. Comparing the 500,000 Albanians displaced during 90ties, the majority of whom have by now returned and the 250,000 Serbs and others who remain displaced in Serbia, Montenegro and elsewhere seems not only cynical, but also contrary to every existing legal norm and common sense logic. The international community,I am sure, will take this into account and see that every single individual originating from Kosovo, including those who fled or were driven out,is duly registered. The same goes for the many occupied private and commercial properties of the people who left. Those counting on having a virtual reality recognized as real life, brace to face the facts...

Only citizens living in the Republic should be counted, if not then might aswell count displaced Albanians in the 90's, there includes another 500.000 citizens.
