This is just some dumb spoiled rich kid who ought to be dealt with very severely for all the trouble he caused everyone and for tarnishing the image of Serbia and Serbs. I consider it a crime against the State. He very nearly beat that other kid to death, who was in a coma for a long time. That’s not just your average bar fight. Then he causes an international incident? Costs a couple of people their jobs? I opposed Serbia breaking their own laws and sending him back to the US, but Serbia should send a message to the world that sort of behavior will not be tolerated and charge him with every single crime they can stick him with. What was the Serbian consulate thinking when they let him flee. They should have asked the USA for him to leave. They allowed Bin Laden's family and cronies to flee after 9/11.

When did America stop aid to a country to which someone skipping bail fled to?
The bashing is wrong and we do need to hear why it happened but I think this will not be heard fairly in America. Especially now.
If Kovačević did not flee for Serbia he probably would not have gone to jail anyway. By ditching the states and now coming back he made his situatition much worse.
