The Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) should not choose a new patriarch, Bishop of Šabac Lavrentije believes.

There are big problems here on the North American continent with the church - particularly in the West and Canada. These bishops seem to be in thier positions more for personal gain and not for the spiritual wellbeing of the faithful. I feel that while Pavle is a wonderful and pious man, his health has precluded him from being an effective leader of the church. I would support a change...but only one which emphasises the spiritual.
