U.S. Ambassador to Serbia Cameron Munter says Serbia's leadership has understanding for the EU mission's role in Kosovo.

The US didn't back anyone based on ethnicity regarding Kosovo, they just thought that this solution was the best to bring about stability. You actually think the US cares about what happened to some European folk (how many Americans do you think actually know what or where Albania is?) almost a hundred years ago?

"The U.S. diplomat also said he saw no contradiction in statements that EULEX will be in line with Resolution 1244 which confirms Serbia's sovereignty, and Assistant U.S. State Secretary Daniel Fried's comment that the deployment of EULEX is an element of Kosovo's supervised independence."
He is right about 1244 on the part about Serbia's sovereignty. Which is why both Tadic and EU have agreed one one point -- that Eulex be status NEUTRAL!

I hope the serbian government will be mature enough to refuse no mater what from US. And EULEX is not for americans too is not US-Eulex,isn't. Isn't enough for yoy to have the second military base outside US as Bond Steel is on serbian land? How about Racak fakes? Serbia should cut any ties with US!No place for hypocrisy.

Why does Serbia listen to him? Why are his words repeated? He speaks for an administration which will fall in 3 months. This administration is even hated by the american people. He will be replaced soon.

So zoran you finally realised that it is the USA who can decide of what's gona happen in the future in Balkans, good, but I am afraid that you have realised little bit to latte. As far as Obama changing US policy toward Kosova forget about it, because USA foreighn politics does not base on ''emotions" just like Kostunicas government or Milosevis rezime who will change their mind every three minutes. US backed Albanian cause in Balkans since Russia and Europe powers in 1912 unjustly and aginst Mother Natures Laws separated Albanians between 5 countries. So since then US didn't change their policy toward Albanians and it will not change it again even if you are chossed to be a President of USA .

mr munter here you go again speaking out of both sides of your mouth ,soon you will be leaving you office and a new more sensible obama deligate will be ariving to revive the relations that serbia has had with the us since the 1800 hundreds,where we were the or one the first countries to recognise you as a country. do yo or can you remember ,we were you closest friends now we are not. but i beleive that obama and his administration will change all this ,,,president obama has stated that he will look in to the situation in kosovo when he is in office ,about his statment re kosovo it is for the large electerate in the us especially in chicago and michigan ,that my dear sir will change when he fully briefed on the kosovo issue ,serbia is on the right path whit all that it does we will prevail this storm as well like we have done so for the pasr 600+ years. god bless the great land of serbia cccc bosanac
