Mr. Kostunica,

Serbia has either to accept EU, hence EULEX and as you say Kosovo independence either formally or informally, or to remain in its own world of mitology, demagogy and nationalism.
Therefore, it remains to you and other politicians to choose on behalf of your people.

"We need to allow it to work before our actions are judged. But, constructive criticism is always welcome,“ he said."

wrong.

we do not need to allow anything that is against international law and the serbian constitution. the french should rather bear THAT in mind.

and as far as I am concerned, he is not even asked for his opinion, Serbia critisizes what is wrong without asking foreigners without (legal permission )for their view.

"EULEX will be present in the whole territory of Kosova with or without Serbia's consent. Serbia's consent is only required for the sake of well-being of the Serbian minority in Kosova and it will help to encourage the dialoge between Serbs and Albanians. I have said in the past that there is no return back to Serbia for Kosova. Belgrade knows that very well but is scared to tell that to the Serbian people. Same right for Serbs living in Kosova as Albanians living is Preseva. Bujanovc and Medvegja. That is not a rocket scence. Once all that has been solved through mutual agreement both Serbia and Kosova in EU.

If Eulex goes into Kosovo without Serbia's agreement, it will also mean going there without UNSC approval. That will make Eulex illegitimate, which is what EU is desperate to avoid. Which is why the EU climbed down recently to declare that Eulex is status neutral -- Feith must be feeling real embarrassed right now.

Wishfull thinking by some albanians who believes EULEX will be inplemented regardless. Why then embarrass themselves by compromising with the serbs and not just enforce it? Also comparing serb enclaves in Kosovo with the albanian situation in Presevo is typical albanian. Are there any mosks in Presevo surrounded by barbed wire and NATO soilders? I think not. Can serbs in Kosovo move freely like albanians in Presevo? I don't think so. Serbs in Kosovo are hostages in their own homes. There would not be one serb left alive if not for NATO.
I also think serbs should cut and run. Let the albanians have Kosovo (except for the north). If Kosovo becomes one with Serbia again albanians will continue to multiply and soon require half of what is today left of Serbia. This will also happen if Serbia and Kosovo joins the EU. Then Serbia will realy have problems with the expansion of the albanian population.

I can understand Kostunica's anger. But to be fair to Tadic, he did specify 3 conditions before he would agree to Eulex, including non-implementation of Athisaari's plans. Besides, the EU itself has already declared that Eulex is status neutral.

I agree with Kostunica, but then everyone 'knew' that Tadic would recognize Kosova little by little to get in EU at the same as Albania, Bosnia and Kosova.
