Don’t get me wrong. Tadic is really a very nice man in person, but so is my next-door neighbour and he is not politically able to be president of such a fragile country either. Serbia lost Kosovo many years ago in reality, and I don’t mean 1389 either. I remember poor Mr. Kostunica being bashed over the head every time he opened his mouth and then being branded an ultra nationalist. The truth is that ever since the fist Tadic victory there has been a big blue line drawn on Serbia’s political map towards EU integration and the price that we Serbs must pay is of little consequence to those who believe in the benefits that the EU membership will bring Serbia.
Let’s not fool ourselves. Whilst we still weep, and rightly so, for the loss of Kosovo there are other evil brews cooking in the background. Once we have also lost Vojvodina and Raska then I think we will be accepted as ready to enter the EU club as tame little Europeans. Having said this it might very well happen the other way around but I warn each and every one of you that it will happen. I remember way back in 1993 when I opened my mouth after being to Knin. I told a group of Serbs in London that we will lose Krajina and I was almost man handled for being so anti-Serb. The same thing happened in 1997 when I said that our WWII allies would bomb us in our beds over the Kosovo question.
As for Montenegro, it is unfair to speak of a country when one refers to the “novi-Mafia” elements of the Djukanovic Empire. As Putin in Russia, Djukanovic calls the shots in Crna Gora and he sees with crystal clarity that his route means favour with the EU, peace with the Albanian Mafia and looooooaaaads of money for him and his cronies. All I can say is “what a clever guy”!
We fools on the other hand must stand around and watch as our historic nation is eaten away by the stupidity of our so-called leaders. The day that Djindjic sold the name “Jugoslavia” was the day that Serbia started to die this slow and painful death. I wish I had good news for all of us but, hey, down town Belgrade is really not too bad when one considers that in the near future this could be all that is left of the entire Serbian Nation.
