No urgent procedure at ICJ

I hope that the ICJ will not be influenced by the big Powers like the US, UK & France

It would be a big shame if they will deny justice to Serbia.

One has to wonder if whoever is giving information to the Serbian govt. from the UN is doing that with a pinch of salt. This has to be embarrassing to that official that yesterday or the day before proclaimed that the ICJ would take the case under emergency measures.

Weird.

Once again, internal consumption politics... God, seems that Kosovo/a Dardania's getting more and more legitimate?

This is becoming a boring game.
-ICJ accepts to look into this claim - Serbs celebrate the victory
-ICJ delays the process - Serbs copmlain bout ICJs reliability.
If you dont trust ICJ, why did you go there on the first place.
Who wants to guess what is the serb camo going to say if ICJ finds Kosova's independence totally legal?

Hint- ICJ is a tool on the hands of the big imperialistic powers. Sounds familiar?

Why not interested in an urgent ruling? Or do they hope the kids will come to terms once they're no longer teenies?

Are pros & cons for an accelerated process at the ICJ. Obvious pro is that this issue is settled quickly which will allow parties to move on regardless of the outcome. Con is that issue may not be exhaustively examined within a limited timeframe. These pros & cons reverse themselves with no expedited process.

Now pro is that there will be plenty of time for all arguments to be presented. Con on the other hand is that while we're waiting, status of Kosovo is unresolved which will have a negative effect on recognition, investments, economy, stability etc.

Do have 'trust' issues with ICTY. Do not have with ICJ. Actually prefer for the process not to be expedited - for the pro. In the event that ICJ finds against Serbia, as have said before repeatedly, personally will accept ruling.

And no lame excuses about the K-albanians not being required to accept the opinion as they did not ask for it. I did not ask for it either & am not required to accept it but will do so regardless.

What I can say Peter, is that Kosova's independence is irreversable (right spelling???).
Of course that Kosovar's will represent their interests there, and of course i have faith on that institution. However that decision will not change anything.

I really do believe that the UDI is illegal under international law. Is apparent from your equivocation that you do not have the same confidence. Which makes your words that UDI is 'irreversible' just that. Words only.

And much as you may want to deny it, negative (for K-albanians) ICJ ruling will have impact such as withdrawal of recognitions & support - both political & financial.
