Rubbish.

The support-base for case of independence & case of recognition of 'pseudo-state' are two entirely different 'animals'. Especially when the issue of national shame over recognition is thrown into the mix.

But then you don't really care about facts as is evident from your comments.

Pity objective reality doesn't in turn care about your propaganda isn't it.

And Mr Djukanovic would do well to take note of that same 'objective reality'. A corrupt leader who ignores popular opinion on such a sensitive issue will have a hard time staying in power, & staying out of prison when he loses it.

The Serbs do not like the FACT that Montenegro is an independent country especially independent from Serbia. It is tough and we all know what Serbs did to stop the break up the former Yugoslavia.

You got the game totally wrong. Kosovo independence was dictated and is uphold from the US. Now the empire is coming down. When that process is finished all that matters is that Serbia, Russia and China did not recognize the Kosovo statelet. You don't need to be a chess master to realize that.

The game of politics is like a game of chess (my opinion).
You play your peaces as good as you can and try not to sacrifice a lot.
At least this is the way I see it.
Serbia, a country with a respectful number of chess masters got things quite wrong.
It played (and it is playing) wrong peaces and sacrificed peaces unnecessarily.
Let us start from the 17th Feb.
Kosovo declared independence, Serbia acted as it was unprepared for that. Everybody knew it was coming. A very bad tactical move (every chess player will tall you that), put Serbia in a tight defence.
Serbia used (sacrificed) Kosovo Serbs using wrong tactics (leave jobs, move away from the political sphere). Another bad chess move.
Serbia recalled ambassadors (the same people that could help Serbia at the time), just to send them back.
Unnecessary move of chess peaces, outcome – lost position.
Serbia acted as a spoiled brat against Montenegro and Macedonia.
A very bad chess move.
Serbia initiated ICJ request.
Now this is another sacrifice with a guarantied Zero return.
Whatever the court rules (and it will most likely rule in Kosovo Favour) Serbia gains nothing. It has distanced itself even further from Europe. I know that a number of Pro-Serbian posters will say “who needs Europe – we have Russia”, but please don’t full yourself.
All you got from Russia so far is a bad business deal.

There are only two reasons why one should sacrifice a piece in chess:
1. Gain a better chess piece
2. Improve your strategically position

Lots of pawns (including some rooks and bishops) have been sacrificed with no visible success. The only thing achieved is that the game is getting boring and it is just a waste of time.
If Serbia wishes to sacrifice chess pieces even further (Economically) please do so.
A good chess player knows when to drop the king. But hey, I might be wrong.
