Since Serbia has no chance of joining the EU until at least 2014, this should be a non-issue for quite a while.

Since Kosovo will be under Serbian control by then (or well on its way), this continues to be a non-issue.

There really is no need for this illegal EU mission.

I am not limiting anything to Russia only. Serbia should strengthen economic ties wherever interests lie but the influence of power is shifting Eastwards and Serbia will need to go with the flow in due course.

But to answer your question, Russia is offering Serbia an opportunity to keep Kosovo whereas the EU is attempting to rip it apart and hand 15% of our land to some terrorists and criminals.

I'm not quite sure what you're happy about. Kosovo is not going anywhere without Serbia. Therefore, if Serbia doesn't enter the EU neither will Kosovo. You see, it's a simple case of using your brain.....the legs can't walk without the rest of the body.

Serbia will have to be strong to stand up against the continual bullying from certain EU politicians.

It would be wrong of Serbia to accept a fundamental breach of its territory or to accept the acts of those who try to enforce it.

However, as long as Serbia continues to make its position clear the EU bullies will lose out in time.

Serbia is on the path to the EU because that is the right of the people. The EU bullies will not be able to resist that forever.

These are not the days of Milosevic - but the EU bullies are still behaving as if they were.

Let those EU bullies stop their impositions and their hypocrisy in rewarding the long-term mono-ethnic efforts of the Albanians in Kosovo.

You should be able to answer your own question easily. As a Romanian you should know that the EU has cut funding for your country. So what have you received that puts the EU above others? Russia has given more help, politically and financially, to Serbia than the EU.

I'm not saying Serbia should go eastward. However, it should take a balanced approach.

Since when is the unproven (and silly) ancient right to land as the pre-eminent claim over land?

Why would the CURRENT 90% population in Kosovo have any LESS right over 'the land' vis-a-vis a community (i.e. Serbs) who clinges to the idea of a divine right resulting from the past - which is nevertheless far from proven?

Even though history is very much unsettled, why would anyone rational ever discriminate over the present and future, in favour of a self-enginieered past?

Notice that my arguments do not entail any contemporary nationalist theories or discourse. What I have said is very common sensical.

that's true but you see Kosova and Serbia are not one body there is two separate body's now,and by the way there is to much damage to the body in order to be able to knit those legs to the body.

This is no news for me,but i am glad that they came out and confirmed it.the Serbian government knows now what is expected from them in order to be able to integrate in EU.Up to Serbian goverment now.

Did you not study biology at school? Chopping one body in two does not result in two bodies. It remains one body. Now unless every country in the EC recognises Kosovo, you most certainly won't be entering the EC. This is the fact you need to accept.

You are hoping that they sneak Serbia in leaving Kosova status hanging? No more Cyprus for the EU. They know that Kosova might not get in EU because of Serbian veto. Meanwhile EU is investing in Kosova. No one will be left behind in the Balkans and Albanians accept nothing less than independence for obvious reason (And the most powerful nations agree; 7 out of 8 G8 members).

EU did not cut any funding to Romania (we would have had a new gov in such a case), as were no problems regarding spending of the funds. That was the case of Bulgaria. Ro was criticized for slow reform in the "proper direction" of the judicial system, a system that became fully independent with EU help and now of course is only up to the system (magistrates) if they want to listen to EU or not. The only funds "frozen" for Ro were some 28 million (insignifiant compared to the total amonts with the info being leaked for usage in the political arena) because some auditing company was not satisfied with the payments system implemented for a SAPARD fund (a compulsory procedure before any payment is made in any EU country). Of course, some other credible auditing firm from a certain EU state made some purely formal but "necessary" recommendations, they were implemented, the fee was paid to the auditing company, and business will run as usual.
Sorry for the offtopic, but I read some comments also in some prevoius days from other commentators and I thought that some clarification would not hurt.

I totally agree with you on playing at two tables (Eu and Russia), but in order to do so Serbia has to have a very strong hand against both of them. Being inside EU is a way to achieve such a goal.
