I would like Lajcak to explain what the way forward is on the Bosnia question?, if there was a free vote on its dissolution we all know what the outcome would be. The Croats are second class citizens of the FBiH the Serbs want no part of the artificial State apparatus. If the Serbs want to formally rule themselves as in reality they already do, what is the EU to do? force them into this Union by the gun law?. No the EU is a paper Tiger the US can bluster all it likes but freedom is a cause worth struggling for. I do not hate my fellow Muslim Slavs but it is thier leadership which has led them to the rubicon they keep saying they are closer to Turkey and the Arab states well Bosnia is in Europe its people are European end of story.Ps, please do not amend.

Just give it some time, and then have a referendum if the serbs AND the croats wants to abolish the artificial state of Bosnia

It is the international community that is playing the games here... and it is up to "us" to do the right thing (which Dayton was not!) IF the high rep would really be doing his business properly, he would let dodik go, as in depose him. he has become a dangerous autocrat, who is using highly undemocratic means to consolidate power and manipulate "his" people, as he manipulates the rest of us. is this something that mr. Lajcak is somehow unable to see? "Oh, got your eyes closed..."

Bosnia is unable to control its own affairs, in large part, because it is still decimated and reeling from the war, which you no who started and carried out, for 4 ugly years, with an evil vigor. dayton was a mish mash "compromise," guaranteed to not work. whether that was clear from the get-go i cannot say; i was just relieved that that bloody, nasty war was over. it was a very short-sighted response.

i am not demanding the abolition of "republika srpska," even though it was absolutely built upon genocide. it is a fact, or appears to be, and might be impossible to dismantle at this point. but it is an entity of BOSNIA, not an annex of serbia. get it?

ultra-nationalism and its cousin demagogury are not the answers, for anyone, except to empower and enrich a small number of the elites. for the "common people" of all nationalities, this increasing nationalism is like a pablum given to ill children when the real and necessary medication is unavailable.

we did meet the german high rep briefly, but he didn't last very long, nor do very much. except for falling asleep at meetings, as another poster here very correctly observed.

but if i meet the current one, i will surely (politely) give him a peace of my mind, thank you very much. earn your big bucks, and do what it takes to get bosnia on the road to success, and to the EU, which it absolutely is NOT.

thank you.

When are Lajcak and the rest of the EU and "international community" going to realize that what they put together in Dayton is a temporary artificial "mess". Three strongly nationalistic peoples, with the "Bosniaks" wanting to dominate everything. And are they (the Bosniaks) capable of running a country without constant international aid? Doesn't seem like it. So at what price is the international community (ie.EU) going to keep this "Frankenstein" state together- for the "moral sake"- with the Bosniaks constantly wanting more and more control of everything. Sounds a bit like Kosovo, doesn't it???

""That is deeply immoral, the international community will never allow for it,"

Double standard. How is it immoral to let a largely homogeneous population separate when you've tried to do that very thing in Kosovo? And this despite the fact that Albanians have ethnically cleansed most Serbs out of the province over the last century.

Appealing to morals in light of current world politics is laughable.

Spoken like a true EU hypocrite, a precedent was set...time to get the ball rolling. If Dodik really has a pair he should call a referendum now and stop the rhetoric.
