Do you HONESTLY think that Albanians will go back under Serbian rule over 'negotiations'? No one can decide that, and the people have spoken.

Where did you see the words "Serbian Rule"? But I honestly believe, some will be "left behind" on both sides. For instance criminals, warlords and autists.

"There won't be any progress in Kosovo without negotiations"

negotiations for what? o you HONESTLY think that Albanians will go back under Serbian rule over 'negotiations'? No one can decide that, and the people have spoken.

As for progress: Kosova is much richer than it was under Serbs, even though now its very poor. EU is acting as if Kosova has signed the SAA.

Ataman, Condi better put in for some overtime as time is running out for her and her boss.

They may leave a manual or two on how to do things for the next administration, but as we all know everyone who takes a job will use the manual only as a guide and as always change a few things.

McCain and Obama need all the votes they can get and will buddy up to anyone who they think will help then get into office but will they be clones of George Bush?
Albanian lobby has a lot to think about here.

Gojko,

Do not underestimate the Albanian camp. They have very powerful lobby in the States, Rice was extremely busy in last few weeks and even with positive ICJ verdict the government in Belgrade has to fight very tough for every single retraction. Even in the best case it won't be an easy walk and there is no guarantee for the verdict being positive.

Preparing for the opposite (negative ICJ verdict) is always a better thing than to celebrate a victory before the battle.

As I expressed earlier, a negative ICJ verdict won't do much damage for Serbia. No matter what, Kosovo-Albanians will have to clean up their government from the KLA/UCK gang and make room for intellectuals who are a large enough group in Pristina. The current warlords have to go and make room for professionals.

There won't be any progress in Kosovo without negotiations. I expect much better results from "intellectual versus intellectual" negotiations than from "autist versus warlord" negotiations.
