You read it here (from me) first, and i can prove it on the archives. i wrote: if tadic and co. lose the UN vote, i think that RS will be the next target, and big time. well, they haven't lost the vote (yet) but the calls for "freedom" for RS are starting again, loud and clear.

now, what is the superlative for "greater serbia"? greatest serbia??

i'm sure that our moral relativists here will jump right on the bandwagon.

slobo is smiling, believe me!

Haris Siljadzic is the more liberal and less nationalistic one of the two main politicians in the Muslim-Croat Federation.

Suljeman Tihic leads the SDA which was directly founded by Alija Izetbegovic. Siljadzic's party (Party For Bosnia-Hercegovina) is somewhat considered multi ethnic, the SDA is strictly a Muslim party.

What this shows is that Bosniaks want nothing to do with Serbs but want everything to do with the land that Serbs populate. Everybody says "Kosovo is a unique issue" and yet Serbia has been nothing but understanding to the Albanian minority since the end of the Kosovo War. Bosniaks on the other hand have no sympathy have no mercy and will not stop until Republika Srpska is abolished.

When Dr. Radovan Karadzic was arrested this past summer, instead of realizing this sensitive time for Bosnian-Serbs, both Siljadzic and Tihic called for the abolishment of Republika Srpska at a time when Bosnian Serbs were not "having it".

For the sake of Republika Srpska, it needs to declare independence and to break away from Bosnia and Hercegovina. If this does not happen, the Bosniak politicians will stop at absolutely nothing to see Republika Srpska as a part of Bosnian history rather than a reality.

So Marko consider this win by Tihic as nothing more than a elevated nationalist rhetoric on the side of the Bosniaks to see Republika Srpska dead and buried.

Haris Silajdžić’s Party for Democratic Bosnia-Herzegovina is considered to be the biggest looser of the election

I think that this is a good sign for the region as it shows that Bosnian Muslim political maturity is really coming on the scene. It is only reasonable that they do not want to relive the civil war that is still very much alive and in the heart of Mr. Silajdzic.

Don't get me wrong, I understand that most of the Bosniaks are still undeniably anti-RS, but at least they are making room for dialogue. It is not impossible, given enough time and great effort that the two entities can become tolerant of one and other and reconciled in their respective policies.
