It is true that the debate of the GA should not have Kosovar govt participation. Their case should be presented by participating states who support their position. It is in the ICJ if the case is accepted that the Kosovo govt will have the right to present their side of the argument.
My personal hopes are that the court will rule that Humanitarian rights supercede claims of territorial integrity.

Kosovan leaders have said that there will be no more 'dabating about the status' long time ago. So, I don't know why the Serb camp is getting so excited about?!
Anyway, whomever wants to debate, they can so until their faces turn blue.

Roberto,

Once again you show complete ignorance and lack of understanding. What have Russia or Belorus got to do with Serbia? Are you trying to suggest that any country that supports Serbia is undemocratic? I think you'll probably find, by your logic, that the overwhelming majority of the world is undemocratic.

So, whose rules will we be following -- those of democratic russia/serbia/belarus??

The rules of the UN silly.

Please stop with the Russia thing. It's not only Russia who doesn't want you there. UN is made up of all the countries and Russia is only one of them.

The UN has spoken and they DON'T WANT YOU THERE. Stop blaming Russia or Serbia for that.
Do you still think you have a country? If it's not at the UN where is it? Parallel universe UN?

while the K-albanian officials are so good in giving declarations ( of no importance ) they do not attend the GA debate...

and with reason.
it´s okay if they play "state" in their own illusions...but it is not allowed to make a circus of the GA...

only real states are welcomed, you know?

Isn't it a tragedy that, in the General Assembly, the us is but one of 192 countries? Given the fact that its irresponsibility in the global financial markets is threatening worldwide recession, I wonder if the us is welcomed at that party.

I actually think Serbia should allow some Albanians to participate as part of the Serbian delegation to represent their viewpoint. If we are to support Kosovo staying within our borders, we should show the world we are truly democratic and that all voices can be heard. However, that being said, I do not think the Albanian leadership should be allowed to address the UN as their own “country” or send their own separate delegation.

My god! Wht is this talk.. Reality is this. Kosova and Kosovars will never live under a state that less than 10 years ago tried to wipe them out and forve them out of their own lands.

Somehow I do not think that Kosovo and her allies will really push for them taking part in the debate. This way it further makes this whole farce a thing that was one sided and not worth mentioning it in the end no matter if it gets voted and no matter what the conclusion is.

But how can that be? There independence is a reality that Serbia must respect. Or is it? It appears that the reality Kosovo supporters speak of is more a delusion than a reality. THen again, delusions are reality to some.
