Isn't television, media, technology and anything modern and progressive banned in Islam anyway? Strange.

So the State allowed a rival to televize, big deal! Be happy that the State allowed any such broadcast at all. What do you expect, every sect to have a different channel!?! It's incredibly vein to think of your own group as being so 'special'. The specialty groups within large cities are often ignored entirely... a broadcast was provided though!!! It sickens me to read this petty complaint altogether! I doubt you'd even have this much freedom to protest something so trivial in your own religion's countries. Be happy, celebrate and shut up!

How much influence does this spiritual leader have over the viewing habbits of Islamic faithful?

It seems only in the Balkans that such extremist views actually get any air time, I mean why stop at only not paying the TV fee, why not stop paying taxes totally, I mean honestly, crazy!!!
