Now ataman, i thought you were going to be nice, and stop using those "not nice terms" like mickey mouse passports, or snake thaci. unless you really want to be in the same league as those "nice" posters
that talk about the "homos" and "albos" and "organ traders" and "pimps and prostitutes and drug dealers" and how roberto (me) is just a "self-admitted" jew, and one who "prays to allah"...

i mean is that the company you really wish to keep?

but then, isn't this forum so rich in language and descriptiveness...

thank you.

Predictor, here's one thing you fail to predict. Slovakia like Spain, Portugal, Greece and Cyprus are in the EU.
(Niall O'Doherty, 26 September 2008 22:17)

I have to agree with you on this one, you've got a point. But you failed to mention that Bratislava (Slovakia) did not say they will never accept Kosova's passports, but they said, quote, "Jan Kubiš informed them that Bratislava will for now recognize only the passports issued by UNMIK, while the problem of Kosovo’s passports will be considered once the UN mission-issued travel documents expire."

You see what I mean? He is saying everything one can clearly understand that once the UNMIK Travel Documents expire, they will probably recognize Kosova's passports too. I'm not predicting anything, just reading between the lines, a thing you (Serbs and pro-Serbs) fail to do.

As a Kosova Albanian, I would love to visit Bratislava, Belgrade and other nice places in the world (i.e. referring to the countries that haven't yet recognized Kosova and/or it's passports), and believe me in the near future I will visit them.

To Ataman who says: "You may fly, but not sure what is if you are driving."

Well mate, as far as the import is concerned, I can say one thing: let's have some Serbian drivers, pay them about 200 Euros monthly, so they can travel all over the world and bring the goods in Kosova without any problem! You already know that China hasn't yet recognized our country, right? I propose you to come and visit Kosova and see how many stores are filled with the Chinese goods (not that I am proud of it). Since our passports are not accepted in some of the EU countries, we can use the airplanes and/or trucks with Serbian, Bulgarian (as we have many of them) plates, and we will have no problems at all :).

Ataman also said: "but in order to travel the Albanians have to pull our such passport and have to use a bus registered in both Pristina and Serbia Proper."

Why on Earth we have to have Serbian passports when we can have our Kosova passports and Albanian as well? Don't think we are stuck with you, we have many, I mean, really many ways to get connected with the Western modernized world!

Greets from Prishtina!

That's a sad news for the K-albanians. What are they going to do now? Going for their holiday in Usa? UK? Italy? France? Greece? No way, nothing comes close to our one and only Slovakia. What a joke. Who cares that Slovakia has rejected Kosovo's passports. There are more inmportant countries to go and doing buisness with.

Why going to Slovakia anyway?

Predictor, here's one thing you fail to predict. Slovakia like Spain, Portugal, Greece and Cyprus are in the EU. Without them you will never get into the EU. Never mind Serbia who will never recognise you lot.

Now here's another thing you fail to predict...with the world's economy slowly contracting and the US virtually economically bankrupt, this will mean less and less handouts for those welfare cheques and bureaucrats as the EU and US scales down its foreign aid. Also with Serbia holding the diplomatic cards shrewdly to its chest and will likely win its case before the ICJ, will force Pristina back to the negotiating table as its options run out. If Serbia wins (which it will) this will stop the recognition process in its tracks. With commodity based economies like India and Russia on the up, Serbia will have strong diplomatic backing.

I'm afraid that party down Pristina way looks to have been premature.

To visit Poland. (Oooops, that maybe is not a good idea). Or to visit Czech Republic (is it a better idea?). Or to visit Sweden. That is fine, but you have to transit through Romania or Serbia or Bosnia or Slovakia. You may fly, but not sure what is if you are driving. Ooops, Kosovo is not part of "Green Card" agreement, so unless you are using license plates from Serbia Proper this will be an other source of problem.

Anyway, the easiest for truckers to use is the ferry to Italy through Albania. Interestingly, we did observe a bus from Pristina in Hungary. Since they cannot fly, the only possibility is, they just drove through Serbia Proper and legally had "alternative" set of license plates.

It is not that hard to travel, Hungarians routinely issue visas in Serb passports, but in order to travel the Albanians have to pull our such passport and have to use a bus registered in both Pristina and Serbia Proper. That means, the usefulness of the "Mickey Mouse", sory, "thaci snake" passport is a question. And precisely THAT is what many governments want to achieve - openly (like Slovakia) or secretly (like Poland, etc.)

Well to be honest, i never heard from any K.Albanian who want to go in Slovakia and myself i would never go there it's nothing to see there anyway.
From now Kosova and Albania (see side remember) will Reject Slovakian Passport.

We knew that already. In last few months I read the same kind of news from Slovakia. If you repeat many times it doesn’t make Slovakia any bigger then it is and any important EU country.
I am just wandering if Slovaks are getting anything in return from Serbia!
