It is useless to try and teach any greek TRUE FACTS OF HISTORY. The only history they believe is FALSE HISTORY which favors only greece. They refuse to admit the TRUTH because they refuse to educate themselves whith anything that doesn't favor greece. That is probably why their national airline is up for sale too.
I agree with Gjorgjievski, their denial of the FACTS is appalling but nothing new.
They are all just too proud to learn it seems.

Talking about ignorance of ultra-nationalists.
Makedonia is still called Makedonia after 4500 years of history. What is at the north of Makedonia (and has nothing to do with Makedonia) is the 16 year old multiethnic prominently Slavic country that should be called with another name......

The name is nothing. Macedinia can be called Republic of Macedonia - provided, if there is no attempt of turning all mainstream history upside down. On the contrary: they can call themself "Вардарска бановина" and at the same time declare, "Вардарска бановина" was the real Sparta, the other Sparta was a fake. In that case the name change won't help much at all.

The mainstream slavistics: the most archaic Slavonic language is Polish, Lithuanian is the "link" between Slavonic and German languages, the earliest Slavonic as we know is Hittite, Hittites were invaders (newcomers) to Anatolia from North and settled over Hatta (agglutinative-speaking, related to Shumers). Compared with Hittite, Polish, Lithuanian languages both Bulgarian and "Macedonian" are UNDISPUTED a much later development. Bulgarian and Macedonian are nearly identical, the difference is of very recent nature. The closeness of Bulgarian/Macedonian, Serbian and Eastern Slavonic languages is because both old-Russian and Thessaloniki dialect of old-Bulgarian are the base of Church-Slavonic, which was the official. Slavs were (and still are to a much lesser degree) all over Greece after Roman Empire collapsed, but they came from North.

This is (in the nutshell) the mainstream. Everything else is conspiration theory at best. Slav-Macedonians could be maybe right to demand better treatment of Slavonic-speakers in Greece, I am not sure here. But in order to be in moral position to do that, they have to abandon fyromaniac conspiration theories.

Question: if the oldest Slavonic language as it is known is "po nashili" language of Hittites, than why Hittite language and Macedonian or even the now-extinct slavonic dialect of Thessaloniki (base of Church-Slavonic) are so far apart? Why PRECISELY THE POLISH language was used to decypher HIttite language and not Slav-Macedonian? Obviously because Polish is closer.

Pavlos, you need to update your history knowledge. The Republic of Macedonia was called 'Vardarska Banovina' for only 22 years between 1919 and 1941. And it was called Macedonia for about 3000 years before that. The ignorance of the ultra-nationalist Greeks is appalling.

FYROM's name should revert back to the original which reflects accurately the present situation:
Вардарска бановина (Vardaska Banovina)
