So L*O*G*I*C by that... logic you should be completely fine with Serbia reasserting its rightful control of Kosovo so long as it bring with it complete economic stability and prosperity and not care about the politics? I think we are on to something here. ;)

Kosovo for Serbia is what Wielkopolska (Posnan) for Poland. My compatriots (Poles) should be reminded for. Russo-German axis works!

Being recognized is the step a country needs to take so that both countries can set up diplomatic relations, trade, etc. If the rest of UN member STATES don't want to recognize Kosovo but do in fact open embassies, recognize my passport, i.e. Greece and Macedonia then I say go right ahead world. The Kosovar people, whether Albanian or Serb care about economic conditions and a bright future, not politics. As long as the economy has a positive outlook all will be happy because people worry about putting food on the table, not whether Pristina has a Polish embassy.

Joking aside, if Poland wants to do business with Kosova, it can do it via Czech embassy.

You are making me laugh. What business in Kosovo? Drugs, human organs, prostitutes. For some reason I don’t think Polish government would be interested.
The page is slowly turning. True colors are coming out one by one. Very brave of Polish President Lech Kaczynski. With UN GA sending Serbias initiative to ICJ we can aspect more statements like this.

it feels good to hear his reasons for not opening the embassy in Prishtina. At least one little sign pointing that EU countries didn't completely and iretrievably lost their mind.

Tadic and Jeremic should not loose this opportunity to hail it as a "great victory" for their diplomatic efforts.

Joking aside, if Poland wants to do business with Kosova, it can do it via Czech embassy. Not every country has embassies in every country. This is just a technicality and has no bearing on anything.
If this decision turns some Serbs to feel more comfortable with Poland, so be it, that's what everyone wants. Hopefully in the near future, Serbia will feel among friends again, regarding western powers, and this will make it easier for it to recognize the reality in Kosova.

We are not naive- we know that there is a strong pan-Slavic solidarity- otherwise Kosova would NEVER EVER be part of Yugo/Serbia.

What do you think that Serbia is capable to keep alone Kosova under her hegemony? Give me a brake! It is insulting for the intelligence of a 5 year old kid...

You asked "how long will this kaczynsky be around there?"

Well, the answer to that question is, a lot longer than the illegal state of Kosovo.....which is not very long.

Will be of interest to see how Poland votes on Serbia's initiative before the GA.

However they vote, the polish PM for one certainly see's parallels between Kosovo & the break-aways in Georgia & this will be reflected in his speech before said GA.

Can only help when the Serbia's bid is voted upon.

Viti i Balit:

The polish PM's decision to block the establishment of an embassy in pristina reflects the division in his own country on this issue.

That he describes his government's actions as legitimate when he is opposed should come as no surprise to anyone who advocates democracy.

Politics. The did what EU wanted them to do and now they are in semi-good terms with Serbia and help Georgia a bit. Serbia will do the same, not send an ambassador when time comes.

Kazzinsky's words underline the struggle that is happening out there right now. It is a struggle between the lapdogs of the world, and the independent minded people. It is a struggle between the colonialists who still believe that 'might is right' and the people who believe in international law.
Let's just see how corrupt this world really is. If ICJ actually supports the fake/immoral/illegal state of Kosovo, then you can kiss international law good bye once and for all.
The slogan of the Americans should be 'lapdogs of the world unite, you have everything to lose, like your chains'.
I prefer Serbia's slogan of 'justice will prevail over force'. The next few days and weeks will shed a light on who is who in the world, and which camp they belong to.
Cheers!!

have never tried to hide
that I consider it a mistake. However, the government's decision is legitimate, but I, too, have my competencies and I am saying with severity - there will be no signature of mine on appointing an ambassador to Kosovo," he was quoted as saying.
