the indefinite deadlines only means serious doubt in the operational capcity of eulex. especially now with the current 23rd UN gen assembly. BTW, i liked the way IRAN PRESIDENT AHMADINEJAD BLASTED THE US IMPERIALISM LAST NIGHT.

Funny. Weren't these previous deadlines EULEX was supposed to be in place:
- Before the declaration of independence.
- 100 days after the declaration [May 27]
- Before their "constitution" was passed on June 15.
- By September 21.

Now they say end of year.

Mr Reeve, would not make such a statement if he wasn't advised to go ahead and make the statement.Read this

Serbs in Northern Kosovo have rejected the deployment of EULEX, while official Belgrade conditions its acceptance with a UN. Security Council approval for the mission.

I think reality has hit the serbian goverment, slowly but surley they are excepting that Kosova is gone for ever. thats how they start, little consecions for now, and big consecion coming.

(ZK UK,
Respect for the others please, and not disrespect even if it is your ennemy they say thats what makes you better so they say, i am sure you know that. Thanks

Brovo EULEX.

Tell muppets what you mean. They are about to accept anyways, but with Serbian government you need to persist until you prevail, just as uncle Clinton did.

Serbia of 2008 is Serbia of 1990s, 1930s, 1910s. With them you need ONLY to persist as they have problem understaing international law and morals.

This the same Eulex that was supposed to be operational by June?

This the same Eulex that was then supposed to be operational by October?

Didn't De Kermabon say just yesterday that EULEX would be operational throughout all of Kosovo by the end of Autumn?

And now, just one day later, it's the end of the year.

>> "will start work in the whole territory of Kosovo by the end of year".

Great news, especially for the lawless area in the North. Let's hope thy do it in Eastern Kosovo as well (Presevo Valley )

I think this is being a little optimistic considering this supposed "rule of law" mission is still illegal and without UNSC approval. Of course the Albanians have no issue with that considering the law is not something familiar to them but if the EU insists on sending judges, police and prison officers into the Albanian areas of our province to weed out the many Albanian criminals running free then I'm sure we could come to some agreement. The first one being that Serbian police return, the second being to bury the Ahtisaari plan (since it is dead already) and finally that Serbia's territorial integrity is respected.

It does look like a compromise is on the table but lets wait and see.

You are Right Mr. Reeve the plan is to deploy EULEX judges and prosecutors among UN staff... Please don't fool us with your strategy as EU has done in the last three years.
