I can't understand Serbia.EU is spitting it on the face they have recognized Kosovo and still Serbia pleads to join them?Isn't any dignity left there?

Serbia should combat corruption, strengthen ties with parties who respect it and try to bring prosperity to it's people.

They don't need EU on that. It's own people can do bring progress if they rally behind the cause.

The hypocritical Dutch and Belgians strike again. Never made such demands on the Croatians to hand over their war criminals. Not making any such demands on the Bosnian Islamists to hand over their war criminals. (And the few they hand over get acquitted, or slaps on the wrist). Serbia has by far the most pro-European orientation and has been far more cooperative than Croatia or the Bosnian Islamists, yet the Dutch won't move. They gave the Srebrenica butcher Oric 2 years, yet they have the audacity to wave their finger at the Serbs?

Pathetic. The Dutch should be ashamed of themselves.

Bob

Why does B92 keep reporting what the Dutch say? They are nothing in Europe - just one of many. The Dutch messed up in Africa when their people were ordered by NATO to abandon people there to die- and likewise in Srebrenica where they failed miserably to do what they should have done. Now, they want to punish Serbia. Why? Because of their own humiliation.

Holland - get real.

"I actually agree, Nanennepidh. Serbs, need to realize that they aren't as important as they think they are. 100% compliance with EU rules and to adopt Western values and good neighborly relations with the Republic of Kosova. If you look at Russia or China, leave EU.

Kosova will get in because we understand what is needed and will work towards it. The people have the will.
(Dashnori i Ceces, 15 September 2008 22:32)"

This Albanian commentator acts as he is the EU president. As if Albanians have European values! 100% compliance with EU rules means that you will allow Germany, the UK, France, and so on to rape you at will so no thanks. Maybe Germany should also leave the EU according to your opinion. They look at Russia for energy and to China to sell cars and other stuff. "Kosovo" should also worry about good relationships with FYROM and Montenegro. This relationship should be genuine of nature and not forced by blackmail from the EU and the US (because then it will last shortly). You will never get in if we do not get in (keep mocking countries that do not support your illegal UDI and you will know how far your will will get you). The problem is that Serbs do not care if they are not important to the EU, while Albanians believe that the whole world is about them (in that sense you are just little Americans). Just stay in your insignificant little bubble until it bursts and if you do not behave too badly we will still offer you the best autonomy in the world.

This is the best indicator of Serbia's importance in and to Europe. It's time Serbia chose its own way and leave the Albanians alone who have already decides who's side they are on. But Albanians can't go wrong with the advice from Oliver Ivanovic, the secretary of state for Kosovo, who due to his knowledge of Albanians and his fluent Albanian language seems to have an Albanian bias, Bless!!!!

Even I would be more than happy to see Serbia as soon as possible in the EU, I would like to express my worries with Serbia's actions toward this goal... I don't see that this is a sincere movement. All the European Integration Process is mostly used for internal political agendas, rather than for its real objective - to become a state which shares European values (which is the case also with most of the other Western Balkans countries). So, as citizen's of Serbia, I think that you would be more of a benefit to your country to push your government to fully fulfill the EU Accession criteria, in stead of blaming EU for being "unfair" to you. After all, becoming a state which shares EU values does not cause any harm to any of you. Each of these criteria helps your country to become better and better. It same like asking from the professor to pass you in the exam you didn't prepare well, and later on not be able to do the job... its better to study and learn the subject 100 %, and not a professor in the world would not put you a 10, and you`ll become a great expert.

Great news! Serbia can have agreements with individual countries (I am sure many will be interested) and this should also be a wake-up call for all you Albanians in Kosovo province who think that you will be an EU member some day. It only takes one country to block anything (and you know the opinion of various countries). I do not care too much about the Dutch no. They knew the screw up in Bosnia and never had the guts to tell the truth (there are "Dutchbatters" who have offered to testify in support of Karadzic and finally tell what the Bosnians and their foreign muslim brothers did to Serbs and others). An independent Serbia (out of the EU) will not have to be isolated unless the EU choses so (because the EU technocrats hate independent and free-thinking people). Plus there are many existing and emerging economic powers that have more moral than the falling empire and other lackies.

Dear Serbian brothers !

Your private experience will not let them mislead you once again. The Dutch are the most polite and sentimetal nation in Europe. They are the least interested in politics state of EU. So it's hard to believe that their principal position is not stimulated by Barroso or Bush. At least this is the first time Holland has got a different from the EU opinion. To say nothing of Belgium ready to do anything the Dutch say. So 25+2 is sceduled and directed by Barroso.

What if Ratko is dead now or is outside Serbia ? Does it mean that Serbia will never join the Union ? Stupid as everything EU is doing all these years. They are also impotent even to elect a NATO SG with a more readable name to say nothing of opposing Russia or cheating the Serbs1001-st time. Who will believe that usually indifferent Holland is so worried about Ratko that it is ready to take the risk loosing Serbia !

Next time Russia will make a step towards Serbia Barroso will tell the Dutch to shut up and set free Karadjic just to "save" Serbia from Russia. So best if we wait for Russia to quit the Caucasian issues and return to Serbia. It won't take long.

Now, considering the fact EU allowed each member-state to make the decision on recognizing Kosovo's UDI - would it be possible for Serbia to sign that SSP with each of those 25 PRO states individually?
Anyhow, there will be new conditions so this should not be something Serbians should bother their pretty heads with too much.

could you tell us which war Serbia has lost? in todays Croatia the serbian army was not involved, in Bosnia it was the bosian-serb army, once again Serbia not involved, in Kosovo, the NATO-forces didn´t manage to defeat the serbian army in 78 days... they withdrew totally intact, let aside those 12 destroyed tanks ( in 78 days ).
so, please, just explain us which war you meant?

This is actually good news. Perhaps the many naive Serbs will wake up and realize that Solana and company are not their friends, they are just playing games with them. Even if Mladic is arrested, they will then find some other demands, like recognizing the illegal and immoral state of Kosovo. Serbia has many friends in the world, they definitely do, but they are not running the EU right now. The EU is run by American puppetmasters, and America is Serbia's enemy #1 right now, and is doing everything in their power to destroy her because of Serbia's closeness with our Russian brothers.
Wake up people, turn your backs the immoral EU, and you will see them come back begging for your friendship. That is how these games are played. We are holding an ace up our sleeves, and that ace is Russia.

instead of results, we see always the same action pattern: some days before EU meetings with the Serbian SAA on the agenda, Serbian officials wake up in a sudden and then they are busy with words and promises. but where are the results so far?

full cooperation means full cooperation. why giving the carrot (and it's vitamins) for promises only ?? for to secure Mladic some more pleasant months ??

That agenda, according to Plassnik, will include attempts to reach a common EU position on Serbia's initiative to ask the International Court of Justice about the legality of Kosovo Albanians' unilateral declaration of independence."

This, along with the Dutch opinion, is a pretty good indicator that the SAA will remain frozen. Maybe some other carrot (of lesser significance) will be offered?

this is not a suprise from Holland, they are suffering guilt from there failings in Bosnia. Tadic and co by the look of things are looking at other options, china etc. At the end of the day being in the EU is not everything ask most Brits who want out.

Serbia needs to pursue other economic options and not put all its eggs in one basket.

Cheers!!

"EU blackmails every new country for its membership, let alone the Serbs who have lost the war.
(v, 15 September 2008 17:57)"

strange understanding of the recent history, V!

could you tell us which war Serbia has lost? in todays Croatia the serbian army was not involved, in Bosnia it was the bosian-serb army, once again Serbia not involved, in Kosovo, the NATO-forces didn´t manage to defeat the serbian army in 78 days... they withdrew totally intact, let aside those 12 destroyed tanks ( in 78 days ).
so, please, just explain us which war you meant?

there is nothing to give in, ...let the Dutch isolate themselves, we will see whether they can stay stubborn if they are so totally alone.

СЛАВА БОГУ , МЫ ВМЕСТЕ !

I would implement visas to all EU countries tomorrow, businessmen would have to pay double, and I would raise pay toll. In less than one year, Serbia would be in EU.

Serbia will join EU, whether it does so willingly or dragged by force. I have a feeling that the voters are voting pro-Brussels.
