You are quite correct, The UK is in a right mess, our health system is in meltdown, Gordon Brown is a lame duck and Labour are 30% behind in the polls. Energy prices are throught the roof, Petrol and Diesel are over £1.10 per ltr. Britain gave Kosovo, Palestine , Georgia 17m each of money it doesnt have, the media were asked not report report this too much as as there would be a backlash from the UK voter. Scotlands SNP have a firm grip which could see an independent Scotland very soon, we have an over stretched armed force who are poorly equiped and paid. Albania is a third world state compared to western Europe, its a puppet state for the US, it useful at the moment for the war on terror like Kosovo its there to be controlled to stop Islamic extremists. The only reason Serbia was bombed by NATO at the time was because the goverment was pro Russian , if 9/11 had happened sooner it would have been a different story.
It was also useful to get our troops in the area besuase AL Qaeda was gaining a foot hold in Bosnia. Its all about the ability for the west to control your region to reduce the threat of Islamic extremists in Europe.
