Who gives a rat's what any Clinton has to say about Serbia.....remember the history.

Aside from that, it would make America look bad as there are TONS of SERBIANS making their mark in Clinton's territory....

We should not stop at that bloody basketball!
I demand a rain.. no, a shower of humanitarian nukes all over Serbia. With non-depleted Uranium, of course. Save humanity, drop few nukes on the Palic zoo.

But than don't be surprised if Russia will drop a "Царь-Бомба" on the Alaverdi Cathedral or SvetiTskhoveli in Georgia. At the minimum, Russians agents should probably poison the entire Georgian soccer liga. That sounds like a royal fun for me.

Tit-for-tat, you know, this is 21st century, just not sure we are going forward or back.

well, i hate to be contrary :) actually i don't hate to be contrary on this site, for me it is a badge of courage... I say "Go, Hillary!!" she's one tough gal, and now she is acting in her capacity as senator from new york.

she is 100% within her rights to push to suspend funding if this "alleged" criminal is not extradited. my god, the serbian basketball leagues just couldn't wait to recruit Kovacevic -- having him on their team was like a badge of honor for them... does this all sound familiar?

you really have to wonder about a society that elevates these types.

as for the criticism against me that I fight for human rights everywhere but in and involving the US -- that is a lie. i've probably wracked up more hours in various public protests, and political, human-rights organizing than most people here, incl. the US haters. many years of anti-war protests, incl this unending one in iraq (the nato intervention was an exception). so don't try to stifle my human-rights record and then use the "contradiction" to promote human-rights violations around the world, esp in the balkans. it is the oldest tactic in the world and it goes nowhere. like that bridge that that very unpleasant Sarah Pailin person keeps yacking about :))

My good Lord – what a spectacular fall!!!
And just 2 months ago Mrs. Clinton was occupied with picturing and planning the future of the world as led by the USA.
Today, the scope of her activity has been reduced and her schedule allows her to engage picturing and planning the future of Basketball Association of Serbia?!?!?

The US is not going to withdraw support for one man. If they do, there is much more to this story than just a brutal beating of an ordinary US citizen. And as always, Hillary Clinton goes for the media attention that her and her husband so desperately crave.

I have a better idea.
The USA should punish Serbia by bombing all of the basketball courts in Serbia. Better yet Clinton should suspend all NBA and college basketball games because there are Serbians currently playing in those leagues as well.
Or somebody should steal all of the basketballs in Serbia.
This Clinton politician would make a great businesswoman.

It is clear that Kovačević is the victim of another American Witch-Hunt. He will never get a fair trial in the US.

While the Serbian authorities cannot extradite one its own citizens, there is no telling what the current Belgrade regime will do for its American masters. I suspect that Kovačević will be push across the Croatian border for them to send him to the USA.

"American Congress and New York state officials, Clinton included, have threatened to suspend all financial aid from the U.S. to Serbia if Kovačević is not extradited to the U.S."

Clinton & Co. is making such a big deal out of the miserly $55 mil. That's nowhere enough to bail out Fannie and Freddie, not to mention the latest Lehman Bros.

Belgrade should tell the Yankees that they can keep their money and use it instead to feed and house their own growing number of homeless and jobless at home.
