“Especially when people like Naser Oric are walking around free.”

The difference is that there was no concrete proofs about crimes allegedly comitted by Oric… but the same cannot be said about Plavsic, which among other things appeared proudly in a photo kissing Arkan… over the corpse of a killed Bosnian.

See no reason why Plavsic shouldn't be released if she has met all of the conditions necessary.

Especially when people like Naser Oric are walking around free.

But then again, Oric is a 'muslim freedom fighter' & so is entitled to special consideration from the Hague - regardless of the number of mutilated bodies lying around.

That's the way it works isn't it?

Mrs. Plavšić, charged with genocide, pleaded guilty to reduced charges on the advice of her lawyers. At her sentencing hearing, she read out a statement expressing remorse. But as soon as she began serving her sentence in a comfy Swedish women's prison (where she has the use of a solarium, massage room, and horse-riding paddock, among other amenities), she smuggled out interviews to the press and published memoirs, in which effectively renounced her guilty plea. She has also refused to cooperate with the Tribunal's prosecution in connection with other cases.

Shamelessly unrepentant of the serious crimes she confessed to in her guilty plea, Mrs. Plavšić is no shining example of a rehabilitated convict who is ready to reenter society. Her status as a former university professor and a mature woman signify only that she had the intelligence and education to have known better.

"Batić said that Christian moral and humanity should be taken into consideration, because Plavšić is an old woman of 78 and a university professor"

:) And where was her Christian moral humanity consideration when she ordered to kill? Go and say that to Bosnian mothers who lost their kids and husbands thanks to Plavsic's & Co, Christian morals-humanity consideration.
