I see that you need a bit of update on your propaganda files. Try this one Berlusconi in his last visit (I think it was last week or so) in Libya asked from Ghedafi to singe: same deal as we have with Albania. Or D'Alema teh former Italian FM who said that Albania was a problem but now it is a resource for Italy. Or the deal of investment of 1.5bn € of ENEL in Albania, and many others.. Albania and Albanians are assessed by COMPETENT and RELIABLE organisations not by you- Albania would NEVRE get the NATO invitation if it was as you wish. Your propaganda is old for some 15y- you need to update it and above all make it more reliable.

Let's go back to the 2008. What is racism for me is the FACT that the last pools show that about 63% of Serbs DO NOT KNOW WHY KARADZIC AND MLADIC are accused for in Hague (you have the link here in b92).
The fact that no one from you (you including) posts and comments on the trial of 6 in Hague (you have the links here in b92) about the monstrosities done in Kosova IS RACISM.

Without catharsis you Serbs cannot have normal relations with your neighbours- THIS IS WHAT IT MEANS WHEN PEOPLE TALE YOU; YOU CANNOT JOIN EU IF YOU DON’T RECOGNISE KOSOVA (or without normal relations with your neighbours)- IF YOU DON’T RECOGNISE YOUR MISSDEEDS THERE.

The people is just using the POLITICALY CORRECT LANGUAGE- but the message IS VERY CLEAR.

Have done a quick search on your comments & have found no less than 4 occasions when you've bandied about the racism epithet. This makes 5.

Some sort of defensive mechanism?

Also have noticed that when pressed, you & others like to play the 'outsider' card. Is that tactic meant to invalidate the comments of your opposition when all else fails?

Doesn't seem to be working does it.

As for the comparing the albanian & serbia mafias, believe we were debating this point back in April. I invite you to continue. Here is the link:

Or perhaps you would like to comment on what is written here:

http://www.twq.com/autumn99/224Cilluffo.pdf

Or perhaps you would like to comment on this:
> One of Italy's top prosecutors, Cataldo Motta, who has identified Albania's most dangerous mobsters, says they are a threat to Western society. "Albanian organised crime has become a point of reference for all criminal activity today. Everything passes via the Albanians. The road for drugs and arms and people, meaning illegal immigrants destined for Europe, is in Albanian hands."

Or this:
> "The Albanian criminals were special from the beginning," said Francesca Marcelli, an organized-crime investigator for the Italian government. "When they started appearing here in 1993, they were much different than other immigrants. They have strong motivations and are very violent. Some of them actually pulled machine guns on the son of an Italian Mafioso. "To do that in Italy is unbelievable.

While criminals know no boundaries, the influence of some is far greater than others.

Over to you ben.

These hackers will realize that these crimes will not go ignored. It is of no consequence as to how old they allegedly are, where are the parents? This is something called accountability - a very big word that the albanians think they are exempt from.
(GSP, 11 September 2008 14:35)
Parent accountability huh? Wasn't a few days ago a Serb parent whining at the police in Belgrade that his son spent thousand of Euros in toys, treatments for himself and friends because the PARENT let the safe unlocked?
Kids always be kids and do immature things. Some blow away the life savings of a parent in toys, other hack websites of Serbian Army and post a ....flag (of Kosovo)!
To give ethnic tones to immature and stupid kid's pranks is simply childlish! What consequences do you suggest....send them to the Hague with Seselj for hacking a website perhaps?

blero,

Judging from the hack-tastic, horribly-designed, and security poor web sites that come from Serbian web "developers" (I use this word loosely as most of these "developers" just slap some awful Flash movie into a table) that Serbian businesses here in the States use, it comes as no surprise that the government web sites are seeing themselves being hacked.

Like you said, maybe the Serbian government should invest in actual web designers and IT technicians and not some random entrepreneur.

Michael John

pre 15 godina

kufr,

Perhaps, like serbia, there are governments who are prohibited by their constitutions to share information or to extradite people who have committed crimes in another country. I'm referring to the "brave" young Serbian man who nearly beat to death an American half his size and ran away to Serbia where he knew his gov't would protect him from prosecution of deadly assault because the Serbian "constitution" would not allow it. You see, two can play that game. Why should other countries honor Serbia's requests to extradite hackers when Serbia harbors and protects its criminals who range from petty thugs to war criminals.

chi-town

pre 15 godina

this is really sad... Serbian government IT department can't have enough security to prevent any sort of script kiddies... I am a computer engineer, and this is very sad. I do not think Serbia has a forensics team or "good hackers" team which would protect the sites at all time... If you can get hacked by bunch of kids, then your system is very weak... nowadays script kiddies are useless in huge web sites..

kufr

pre 15 godina

The Serbian IT police should put more effort in investigation of these crimes. Log the IP-numbers and force Internet Service Providers to give out details about who were using those IP-numbers at the time when the crimes were committed.

If they used a proxy, then go after the proxy administrators and fetch the logs. The police can and should do it! Even if the script kiddies used a proxy in another country the police can cooperate across borders to acquire the logs.

kate

pre 15 godina

I don't really think that it's a big deal that they hacked a site. After all, it just exposes loopholes and leads to improvements, which is how technology develops.

Better for the Serbian government to know now if a bunch of Johnny Nomates can hack sites.

But I am interested to know whether they pasted the new, proudly announced mini-EC Kosovo flag [http://bp2.blogger.com/_j3BW2fb98So/R7mW7Qzm4aI/AAAAAAAABKM/qlpCoIxvfj8/s1600-h/800px-Flag_of_Kosovo.svg] of which everyone is so proud and which signifies the disputed state of independence?

AO KS:
There was another article about serb hackers attacking albanian websites, but it came after (not before) the article you provided a link to. Here it is:

http://www.b92.net/eng/news/region-article.php?yyyy=2008&mm=08&dd=28&nav_id=53051

I also found 3 other articles about hacker attacks, but this time, like the current article above, they were concerned with K-albanian hackers attacking serb websites - all of which predated the articles about serb hackers. Here they are:

http://www.b92.net/eng/news/society-article.php?yyyy=2008&mm=08&dd=04&nav_id=52426

http://www.b92.net/eng/news/society-article.php?yyyy=2008&mm=08&dd=15&nav_id=52726

http://www.b92.net/eng/news/society-article.php?yyyy=2008&mm=08&dd=18&nav_id=52794

Yes, the serb hackers are idiots, but it appears that they had considerable provocation from their K-albanian counterparts who now appear to be active once again.

blero:
If the computer systems in a nation as paranoid about security as the US can be penetrated, small wonder then that the same thing can happen in Serbia.

Fact is hacker attacks are constantly evolving & they don't just target one system, but a broad spectrum looking for the weak links. And those defending are up against both the cost of keeping their systems up-to-date, & breakdowns in the implementation of security protocols, not to mention inherent flaws in the internet itself.

So blaming computer administrators for the irresponsible acts of potential (if not actual) criminals is hardly what I would call a reasonable attitude on the part of a law-abiding individual which I take you to be.

Are these constant 'cyber-attacks' just the actions of misguided youth? Quite posssibly.

Are they symptomatic of the prevalent culture of crime & corruption in Kosovo? Equally - quite possibly so.

ben:
You really do like to play the 'racism' card don't you?

Is useful I guess when all your other arguments don't pan out.

Fact is if someone grows up in a culture that has no respect for law, then that will most likely affect that person's outlook & actions as may very well be the case here.

Only question is, can we say that about Kosovo? Well, let's see.

Drug smuggling - guess who are the heroin 'kingpins' of Europe?
People smuggling - try asking Interpol, Europol or just about anyone about albanian involvement.
Organ smuggling - not proven.. yet.
Church burning - just how many serb churches were torched/blown up in 2004?
Ethnic cleansing - just what is the percentage that serbs are down to now in Kosovo?
Murder with bombing & terrorism - perhaps you would call this 'birth pangs' of a nation.

That 'racism' ben?

Or, the people that designed the web sites should be sacked for not doing their job correctly.
If the site can be attacked and hacked with readily available tools that can be downloaded for free, who should be blamed?
I would say the web developer.
I quote Markovic’s words:
“Marković said that the hackers were not geniuses, just people who turned the lack of protection of these sites to their advantage”.

It clearly states – lack of protection.
We are talking here about the Serbian parliament site and the Serbian Military site, not some shop selling t-shirts.
Maybe Serbian government should think employing proper Web developers from now for their Web Site design instead of cowboys.

I do not think Serbia has a forensics team or "good hackers" team which would protect the sites at all time... If you can get hacked by bunch of kids, then your system is very weak... nowadays script kiddies are useless in huge web sites..

And they wonder why crime is so strongly associated with the Albanians. Drug, organ and people traffiking, church burning, ethnic cleansing and murder with bombing and terrorism all strongly linked to the Albanians.

The big difference to most other parts of the world is that they continue to get rewarded for that type of behaviour, so really what hope do they have?

I'm sure these script kiddies doing the hacking will be nominated for some kind of Albanian achievement award.

To ZK UK it seems that you always think the worst about albanian people what about the serbian hackers when they attacket the kosovan national television site am sure you were so proud and of course you didnt mention then the drug, traficking. This things always happened and will happen again and of course if you dont have people who know how to protect their site then albanians are genius what can we say more

It is time that b92 starts to censure racist posts as the one of ZK, who regardless the fact that lives in democratic country has not managed yet to learn the RESPECT.

I was censured yesterday for accentuating teh paradox that Serbs show in Kosova dispute: in one hand they affirm that Kosova is the Serbian soul and than they are willing to divide the "soul".

Linking teh hacker attack with all that stuff that the ZK shows is completely ridiculous and unacceptable.

I don’t think they are geniuses too but at least Markovic should even mention this at all because if they “fool” you and crack your security and in the same time they are not geniuses, that means they are just normal kids who fool your stupid technicians. So, better not mention anything at all.

Maybe Serbian government should think employing proper Web developers from now for their Web Site design instead of cowboys.

Why should other countries honor Serbia's requests to extradite hackers when Serbia harbors and protects its criminals who range from petty thugs to war criminals.

and another one was posted earlier in B92, but I cannot find it. Anyways, do you think the same about the Serbian Hackers, or it is just the Albanians who are, as u describe, quote: "And they wonder why crime is so strongly associated with the Albanians. Drug, organ and people trafficking, church burning, ethnic cleansing and murder with bombing and terrorism all strongly linked to the Albanians".

Please, next time you try to accuse someone for one thing or another, do some research. And as far as I am concerned, the hacking thing does not necessarily link with politics or/and a nation as a whole. They are a group of 'kiddies', as u describe them, who do things the way they want to. This is a 'cyberwar', don't mix it by all means with terrorism and stuff.

No Peter: racism is when someone that lives in Australia teach us who is what in Europe. This is racism.

P.S. teh truth is the historical mafia of heroin is SERBIAN the route- Afghani-Iran-Turkey-Bulgaria-Yugo/Serbia. The same mafia that KILLED YOUR PM Dindic, the same mafia to who teh Macedonian police cesed 500kg of cocain last year, the same that controles the market of drugs in Veneto and Lombardia in Munchen etc- allways in alliance with their Russian brothers.

I don't really think that it's a big deal that they hacked a site. After all, it just exposes loopholes and leads to improvements, which is how technology develops.

Better for the Serbian government to know now if a bunch of Johnny Nomates can hack sites.

But I am interested to know whether they pasted the new, proudly announced mini-EC Kosovo flag [http://bp2.blogger.com/_j3BW2fb98So/R7mW7Qzm4aI/AAAAAAAABKM/qlpCoIxvfj8/s1600-h/800px-Flag_of_Kosovo.svg] of which everyone is so proud and which signifies the disputed state of independence?

Ben, i've written exactly the same thing, in my own words, about 100 times (well, it feels like that) but nothing changes, and most of my postings are... you can guess. it is totally deliberate, believe me. it used to be different but that was then and this is now.

as for the cyberwar, i think it is crazy, but maybe i'm just jealous because i can't keep up with the technology. but really, kids, what are we proving? it is silly, and isn't exactly an ethical means to an ethical end, from my point of view, from any side.

anyway, it just brings out the usual hate campaign from the other side, who says the exact same things, with or without the cyber war.

we need to keep up our defense of the new republic and continue to fight for human rights around the world, but i just appreciate more ethical means, that's all.

Ben and others, you have ganged up on ZK for telling the truth.
If he has mislead us in any way, please provide which part of what he said isn't true.
Don't just yell racism. Please discredit this person with facts. Tell us, what is in his post that you say is a lie and why. Then let us decide if he is racist.

Telling the truth is not being racist. If you are embarassed by what your people have done, then try to be a better person and campaign against the crimes of your countrymen, but don't shoot the messenger.

Have done a quick search on your comments & have found no less than 4 occasions when you've bandied about the racism epithet. This makes 5.

Also have noticed that when pressed, you & others like to play the 'outsider' card. Is that tactic meant to invalidate the comments of your opposition when all else fails?

"Albanian organised crime has become a point of reference for all criminal activity today. Everything passes via the Albanians. The road for drugs and arms and people, meaning illegal immigrants destined for Europe, is in Albanian hands."

Or this:

The Serbian IT police should put more effort in investigation of these crimes. Log the IP-numbers and force Internet Service Providers to give out details about who were using those IP-numbers at the time when the crimes were committed.

If they used a proxy, then go after the proxy administrators and fetch the logs. The police can and should do it! Even if the script kiddies used a proxy in another country the police can cooperate across borders to acquire the logs.
