“Obviously, he wants to create Uniates from the Orthodox population.”

As far as we know, proselytism is not a crime under Montenegrin laws… nor under the UN Declaration of Human Rights.

Wow, judging by some of the comments here, it seems that if you are not Orthodox Christian and Slavic or Greek, that Serbs have something against you.

I doubt this pope will do something like the last pope did when he visisted the RS. I.e. Go to Banja Luka to beatify and honour people linked to Ustasha WWII crimes.

I doubt this pope who talks of reconcilliation with the Orthodox Church would do something like stupid like meet members of the uncanonical Montenegrin Orthodox Church (who are a uniate movement launched by a defrocked priest with ties to the Catholic "Sovereign Military Order of Malta.")

What business has he in Montenegro when the overwhelming majority of the population is Serbian Orthodox. I see we have another "political pope" on our hands. Obviously, he wants to create Uniates from the Orthodox population. I wonder, will he offer an official apology to the Orthodox church for the heinous crimes committed by the Catholic clergy in the Balkans.

Like it or not, he is a Catholic official and has a right to tend to people of the same faith. Last time I checked, Montenegro was a free country.

That's a honour for the small country living in difficult regional circumstances which often is pulled and draged by different sides. One can expect various critics but in the end the montenegrian way of integration instead of sharpening will be encouraged.
