It is a well known fact that Holbrooke accepts funds from Albanian 'lobbyists' for his political activities.
It is also a well known fact that Albanian 'lobbyists' get lots of their funds from the heroin trade.
To say he disgusts me would fall far short of the truth.

So far i didn't hear that the Russia is pressing somebody not to recognize Kosova... in any newspaper You can see that USA is leading the agressive policy toward all the states to make them to recognize the lawlessness !The people is not so stupid and afraid of US, sure the are some pupets and they recognized due to their implication in this ilegal recognition. Hoolbroke will be great if you will say why before the recognition US built the military base in state that US ocupied? Why US made all possible to end the negotiations by backing albanians? US'hands are in blood up to the shoulder! If the USSR was alive today there couldn't be lawlwlessness(international).Today USA had destroyed international law.The american gangsterism is today's law!Shame on you USA.

nicely written, Anella.

but if so, I wonder why all those KFOR-soldiers I spoke to , were ( really all of them ) pronouncedly anti-albanian when they finished their time in the serbian southern province?

it´s really astonishing, if you tell them that you are a Serb, they immediately start complaining about the Albanians, I really do not know what the K-albanians do to them, but, you Anella, should go and teach your fellow-k-albanians pretty quick to make friends instead of enemies!

you will understand that I was smiling when I read your comment, since the gap, the disrepancy between your comment and the reality on the ground is so vast...

to "ben": you don´t know what freedom is, my dear, not only because you don´t know how it is written, but also because you think that being a ( willing ) servant to the US means being free.

the Serbs, the (real)free world and international law will teach you right.

by the way: If I was Holbrooke and visiting Priština, I´d say exactly the same.
no real value in what he´s saying.
just a question of time.

You cannot imagine how beautiful the FREDOM is.

Thank you US, EU and people of great courage and honesty as Mr Holbrooke!!!
(ben, 10 September 2008 13:03)

I doubt you live in "Kosova" benny but you may be in for a rude suprise about what that freedom will entail. I can see a lot of the Albanians getting fed up with their corrupt "leaders" and soon wanting Mother Serbia to return. Do not think NATO/US are going to let you have it your way. You will need to fight them one day much sooner than you think.

"Holbrooke blasts Russia's Kosovo policy": this is completely irrelevant. The message is that an unipolar world will not be acceptable. And that is for a very good reason, as anyone can see...

Thanks to Russia that recognition of kosovo UDI had been slow and thanks to these nations who value international law and respect to serbia's UN recognized borders. BIG SHAME to these 46 states.

"but Russia is trying to at every step create problems for the U.S. policies"

What about Serbia's Policies?
What about Resolution 1244 ? That Kosovo remains a part of Serbia, I'm pretty sure that was a US policy.

" He also expressed concern about the state of economy in Kosovo, especially the high unemployment rate, and recommended that "the government and the people should create some program that would create jobs".

Albanians they want everything hand to them on a sliver platter, like Kosovo and Money. But you can't be given Class or respect you earn it.

Now I'm certain Holdbrooke was paid to lobby for the Albanians.
He sounds more Albanian than the Albanians.
Mr. Holdbrooke it's a shame what the west has done not what Russia is doing.
You are blaming Russia for the slow recognition and I congratulate Russia for it.

When you say that it will never be the same way again (Serbia having Kosovo), how exactly do you mean to deliver that promise? Are you going to attack Serbia again?

In the word of one of your characters. Go ahead, make their day. I can guarantee that you will NEVER be able to do what you have done in 1999.

You can bark all you like, but that's all you can do.
You don't have support of the world and your words are words of desperation.

Milan

The words of a frustrated person who overestimate(s/d) himself way too much and who is now trying to find some desperate reasons why many of the promises made to the Albanians in Kosovo province have not come true (for they were false to begin with) and at the same time making new false ones. Russia's actions are the direct result of trying to ignore Russia for many years. I wonder what will happen if the US and the EU can no longer control the Albanian frustration that will at some point of time erupt into violence against anybody they think will stand in their way (even their NATO and EU masters). As stated here many times before. Russia is able and will derail this whole political pet project and there is nothing anybody can do. So please keep making bold statements to show that you are important or that you care. Like so many times in recent history the Albanians will be scoped and then they will look for new masters to serve to reach their eldorado.

"This is very serious and represents a great shame, what Russia has done .."

Holbrooke, actually, used a word 'shame' to describe Russian refusal to recognize
his 'Kosova', which can mean only one thing: this can't possibly be the same Holbrooke who coordinated the terrorist KLM bands and supplied them with arms, later to instigate the bombing of Yugoslavia (when he realized that they were going nowhere with their 'liberation)?
Or, could this be him, after all, getting mad at Putin for spoiling his great 'diplomatic triumph'?
Of course, the U.S. would never dream of exerting pressure on anybody.
One remains almost speechless at such a magnificent hypocrisy.

I wouldn't worry if I lived in Kosovo," Holbrooke reassured his hosts. Good, why don't you move there, and enjoy a worry-free life, Holbrooke? Do the world a favor and go live with your Albanian associates. How a so-called diplomat, like Holbrooke can reach such a level in US State Dept. is beyond me. Or does it just say something about that State Dept.?

kufr

That the number of countries that recognized Kosovo are so low is not because of Russia, but because of international law. Intelligent people in responsible countries do not break international law. Only lap-dogs of Holbrooke break international law in hope to gain something in return from their master.

Mike

pre 15 godina

Today, Holbrooke told Radio-Television Kosovo that "nobody expected Russia's campaign, since it was unnecessary".

Oh please Dick. Russia was saying this from Day One.
