SRS official Milorad Mirčić proves, that he needs to learn, what's the meaning of a parliamentary mandate.

SRS officials, which backstabbing Nikolic, should stopp wining in the public. if Seselj decides everything for them, then they must not feel responsible. we have seen these days: they have nothing to decide - they are directed by a single person via cell phone.

the point is not the SAA, dear ZK - and I wonder, why B92 supports your marketing postings for Mr. Kostunica - althoough your comments do not refer to the article obove.

Marko, lets see what happens over the next few days indeed as I would be glad to be wrong in this instance.

If Nikolic and his group vote yes to ratify the SAA then I stand by my words otherwise he has redeemed himself. I suspect the SAA ratification is in the deep and these drastic measures are needed to get it through.

The DSS and SRS already had an alliance so I don't see how Nikolic has helped the opposition in any way.

Time will tell.

Zk it is not fair, by any means to refer to Nikolic as a sell-out. He has done a great deal for political conservatism in Serbia, and he was a star of the Radical party who brought much needed moderation to a very complex and important political movement.
Seselj's interference put the entire opposition in jeopardy. As patriotic Serbs, this opposition was the only Serbian voice we could rely on and as much as I regret Nikolic's reaction, I wonder if he really had a choice in any of this.
I agree with your comments on Kostunica and I am hopeful that he somehow forms an alliance with Nikolic's and the Radicals respectively.

The coming days shall show us if this is out of the question

You got to hand it to Nikolic for standing up for himself and not letting the cult of personality dominating SRS get to him. Say what you like about Toma but he really does have some dignity and will not be happy at the way he was treated. On the other hand he was naieve to ever think that he would be allowed to rule the party with Seselj in charge.

I'm still wondering what will be Vucic's next move.

Still, one can't help but wonder what Teflon Tadic has done to deserve his rivals being vanquished by this.

Some might have nastier things to say, but I think its quite simple really. Have a unifying, inclusive message and you are more likely to retain the trust of people. Plus you can peel away support of your rivals if they are getting more extreme.

What a surprising turn of events. This undoubtably has to do with ratifying the SAA. As I mentioned, there is a lot of money floating around and Nikolic's job is simply to get a few (former) Radicals to ratify the agreement and his handsome reward will be granted.

I have to say that Kostunica shines in comparison to any other politician I have seen in Serbia. It really looks like the US/EU are completely desperate to get Serbia to sign that agreement!

this is Nikolic's unfortunate reaction to Seselj’s ill advised interference. Now Serbia and it’s opposition will suffer while our country is ruined.
