Sarkozy did such a lousy job the first time that the West should consider bringing back Ahtisaari instead.

Ahtisaari can conduct his series of pseudo-negotiations again ..... devise a package to make the ethnic Georgians the most privileged minority in Ossetia .... then make Tblisis accept Ossetia's independence provided the Ossetians do not merge with any third country ..... and cannot be a precedent for other separatists in the Caucasus ...... sounds familiar right?
