The fact is that with the new president and government, Serbia is not interested in annexing Srpska anymore.

So Russia is stepping in to fill a vacuum. But partitioning Bosnia is not possible, since there is no armed forces to support that.

The best thing for Bosnia is simple. Let the Croats Join with Croatia and the Serbs with Serbia. The Muslims can stand as a Turkish commonwealth

Roberto, is that all you can do? You just keep blaming Milosevic for everything.
You get a cold and you blame Milosevic.

C'mon now. You know he is a convenient scapegoat for all the wrongs in the Balkans. One man did all that horror!!
Did you forget about Tudjman and Izetbegovic. How about your beloved KLA?

Every time Serbs ask for justice you start to jump up and down and mention Milosevic. Frankly I for one am sick of hearing it.
Try the truth for a change.
Perhaps the truth is not going to serve your purpose so you will continue to blame it all on Milosevic.
I really believe that you have lot your audience.

The Russian govt. needs to mind their own business, and (tragically) continue to oppress people closer to moscow?
Well, this applies much more to the US, which did not kill thousands but millions in far-away countries like Vietnam, Laos, Iraq, Afghanistan, Serbia, Somalia etc., instigated/instigates separatist groups in Kosovo, Chechenya, China, Iran etc., engineers regime changes and bribes political elites in Ukraine, Georgia, the Baltic countries, South America etc.

Wow -- we just had quite a shaker here -- a jolt! that means an earthquake to laypeople... my cat is still in hiding. it was a big one, though they claim just "4.0" but quite deep. now people may actually believe i live in frisco. but i digress...

The Russian govt. needs to mind their own business, and (tragically) continue to oppress people closer to moscow, in "their" own realm. chechya, etc. i don't mean to make light of their actions -- they have murdered so many thousands of innocent people, but no one has been willing to stand up to these actions, we of the world, who are so severely ethically challeneged. a shame on us all.

but fortunately they are far from bosnia, where they could only send weapons and individual gunners, which they did! oh, you don't believe me?? do some research and report back, thank you very much.

as for the comments above me, i try to ignore such ideas, as they are 100% alien to my be-ing. those policies are milosevic's failed policies of the 90s. apparently they still enjoy wide popularity in certain circles.

I don't think that it's a good idea for an entity such as Republika Srpska which has its genesis in genocide to start talking about splitting. It is already an immoral creation thus asking for more is just pushing it. The only reason it exists is to temporarily feed the appetite of our fellow Serb neighbors who cannot seem to live in a civilized 21st century with other peoples.

And if Serbia tries to use Republika Srpska as an argument for Kosovo, well let's just say that it will essentially admit to having no argument and resorting to blackmail, never mind at the same time implicitly admitting to its role in committing genocide in Bosnia.

It's too bad that we can't all live together but that is the truth. People can say what they want to say but in the end we all know where we stand i.e. serbs, croats, bosniaks. What's the big deal if we all have our own land and live seperate from eachother? I mean it's not like we are the United States of America, we are either serbs, bosnians or croats and that's that. The west is trying to formulate and uphold this unity card when all parties involved really have no interest in unity. We can live next to each other but seperate, I don't see where the problem is with this. At least this will maybe bring peace for everyone.

Yes, right- it seems that every nation can be extremely nationalistic and territorial -only Russians and Serbs should not.
Is Srbian identity, territory and interest a tabu?
And poor Serbs are sometimes, lately less often that before- byuing the idea that they are ultra nationalists- therefore they should be asahamed of themselves and punished for those serious vices.
I don't see any reason why Republika Srpska don't start with the procedure to break away from Bosnia and join Serbia.
Even if that doesn't turn out to be a good idea finally just shere arguing can bring lots of political benefits for Serbia at the negotiation table (about Kosovo for example).

How much longer do we have to play the we are the world game. Bosnia needs to be split. The croats join with croatia, the Serbs join with Serbia and whats left can be a muslim homeland. This forcing of groups together will only soe the seeds for the next conflict.
