“According to trial records, Kos was the leader of a paramilitary group accused of killing several hundred and even thousand Muslims in Srebrenica.”

Hurrah! Finally we found that Serbs have done nothing in Srebrenica. All it was done from one Slovenian. Hurrah!
See we have told you that we Serbs are angels. Now Slovenia, country that help Kosovo toward independence has to pay for Srebrenica.
Good joke!

the Holmec-Case perfectly fits into the current image of Slovenia...

being willing executioners of US-american directives ( as revealed by a slovenian official a few months ago ) BUT not being ready to go after own war-criminals while asking Serbia to extradite Serbs.

I mean, Slovenia never was really a factor of international importance, but with news like that, they are losing face completely.

This is ridiculous. Slovenes are clearly exempt from being brought to justice for war crimes.

The first war crimes in the balkans took place in Slovenia when members of its 'territorial defense' executed three conscript JNA soldier POWs in 1991 at the border crossing with Austria near Holmec. It was filmed by Austrian TV ORF. The slovenes dropped the 'case' in 2006:

Franc Kos was a member of the 10th Sabotage Unit in the Bosnian Serbia Army.

This was a very strange military unit. Its members were all non-Serbs from the former Yugoslavia. All its members were also former members of the French Foreign Legion.

This Unit first came into the news when the Serbian police arrested a Bosnian Croat, Dražen Erdemović, who had told western news agencies that he was part of this Unit and had personally taken part in the execution of 1000 Moslem soldiers who had been captured following their withdrawal from Srebrenica. Presidient Milosevic ordered Erdemović’s extradition to the Hague Tribunal.

The Hague Tribunal accepted Erdemović’s confession and sentenced him 5 years imprisonment. Erdemović has now been released, given and new identity, a couple of million dollars and a new home outside of Europe.

During his own “trial” at The Hague, President Milosevic claimed that the 10th Sabotage Unit took its orders from the French military and that its role was to create an “incident” that would justify a NATO attack on the Bosnian Serbs.

This is an interesting story, but it is hardly new. Why is this mentioned now 13 years after the event? I also doubt that Kos is in Republika Srpska; more likely Paris or New York.
