Dear Serbian friends,

Do you think you are so special??

-You dont pay electricity in Kosovo (€110 million Serbs own KEK)

-You dont pay water

-You dont want to pay taxes for food, medicins etc...so where do you think you are living
(PRN, 29 August 2008 15:01)

The Serbs know where they are living, in Serbia. Kosovo is not recognized by Serbia or most of the world for that matter. The Serbs should not pay a cent to the Snake and his cronies.
Second point is that if you haven't burned everything Serbian down and disabled Serbs from earning an honest living they would have the means to pay their bills, but only to Serbia anyway, so you still wouldn't see a cent from them.

Serbs live in their own country albeit in a province overrun by Albanians but nevertheless their own country. You cannot keep on robbing them forever.
The medicine was donated by their brothers and should not have any tax put on it in the first place.

I do not yet know all of the facts involved here (exactly as is the case w/ the rest of the posters.) however, as a story it is a real "hit" piece, an anti-Independence hit-piece, as so many other stories have been.

yes it is a "free" press, and we need a free press, but also a responsible one.

i have already suggested that these agreements must be reached over (genuinely) humanitarian and emergency supplies, as opposed to propaganda vehicles (literally.) but there is no real answer until belgrade stops its campaign against the the new republic, and real understandings are reached.

these people in the so-called enclaves are both victims and actors in this drama, but most of all they are pawns, and most of all they are pawns of the failed policies of the belgrade regime.

by the way, for all of you "experts" on Kosovo/a, when was the last time you were there (if ever) and where did you go?

What agreement Peggy? You don't recognize Kosova authorities to even shake their hands, what agreement are you talking about?

With your "friends" sending in expired aid and medicine, with all the illegal smuggling running amok in N Kosova, with customs and border controls being burned down by your own vigilantes, and with ambulances being used by MUP to haul their agents around from one trouble spot to the next, Kosova authorities have every right to at least check what's coming in. Serbian customs do the same checks, so why does it bother you so much?

But what I don't understand is this: There's plenty of medicines in Prishtina, only 10km away; for every thing that Gracanica health center might need there's tons of it in any of Kosova's pharmacies and hospitals, why does Gracanica's health center needs to bring its own medicines from all the way across the border. It doesn't seem practical now, does it? This self-inflicted drama is unnecessary. Why do you need to politicize even the most mundane things, unless you are looking desperately to create problems?

Filip

This is propaganda. A bad one. THis medicine truck must have all papers in order and it will get to its destination. How about Sebia which has stopped more than 100 trucks in the border which was transporting vegetables to eksport them to Romania. This vegetables have been wasted and a damage of around 5 million EUro has been caused because of the hostile politics of serbian border authorities.
Nobody , no minority in the world has more rights than serbs in Kosova!

Peggy

This is inexcusable.
All you Albanians keep doing is repeating the same garbage you did every other time. Was the paperwork in order?

An agreement was reached on this already. Medicals supplies will be let through, so what now? Your paperwork rubbish is exactly that.
If you have given your word (an agreement was reached) then why do you go back on your word?
I guess your word means nothing. Do you even care that you are going back on your word which makes your hirachy liars?
And you think you can govern a country. You can't even keep your word.
The world is watching you and you certainly haven't disappointed anyone.

What are the Serbs waiting for. If Serbia truly feels Kosovo is their land then they would not allow this. When will they take back what is theirs. Enough with the ICJ and International Law nobody cares. Belegrade needs to wake up and do something. What a joke! You have people stealing your land and all you do is sit back and ignore everything.

1 Is there any reason sending medical help to Gorani in Serbia?

2 Would you and yours actually send any help to Gorani anywhere in the world?

Can't you be an inch honest to yourself at least?

As one of my favorite Albanian posters once said: they (Albo forces) should focus on less soft targets than medical supplies: the opponents with long mustache and large gun, for instance. Makes better publicity than cutting off medical supplies.

Otherwise, fighting medics is just pathetic.

andy

OH , please give us a brake guys. This is pure propaganda, What medical supplies you are talking about? Expired date , no proper paperwork and we are talking about 2-3 boxes.Actually story not worth comenting.

All of my fellow Serbian posters keep blaming the Kosovo Albanians, but realistically we know that Pristina and company want all the serbs out of Kosovo.
The people who we should be blaming are in Belgrade. What pressure have the economic ministires put on Pristina? When has Tadic held a news conference in regards to medicine being blocked. When has Jeremic made a demand of the EU, or embaressed them over the persecution of our people in Kosovo.

Instead Belgrade is busy backtracking and explaining why they will now coopertate with Eulux.

Don't blame the Albanians for what we are doing to oursleves.

I think Serbia should "unblock" the supplies to Kosovo the same way Russia "unblocked" S. Ossetians from Georgia. It would be very easy (much easier than the S.Ossetian "unblock") and it is really the perfect timing for that...

Dashnori i Satam

law is the law. Can I load a truck of supplies and drive it unstopped to help the Gorani in Serbia? No, I would be stopped and asked questions by their customs and health ministry. Same with Kosova so stop playing these tricks, its getting old.

What else is expected by the Albanians? The one can only say “it happened again”. They do not change their strategies in complicating the lives of the Serbs living in the province. Primitivism and barbed wires.

Tsk, tsk, tsk. . .

. . .keep playing these games, my friends.

It wasn't enough to ignore international law, now you're spitting on common human decency.

Do you understand that everytime:

* you kill one us
* take more of our land
* destroy our places of worship
* refuse us medical supplies

. . .our resolve only grows.

We're a nation already driven by inat and now you're adding fuel to the fire?!?

Yet another ill-advised choice.

I wonder what will happen when your American sponsors grow tired of their Balkan adventure?

One day even the ignorant will realize that a cooperative and democratic Russia is more important to U.S. national interests than the Albanian air force joining NATO.

I miss in this article the most basic information: who has sent the medical support? did these supportes provide all papers needed for that? which size had the delivery? one package, one truck? what was the reason to block it?

I read it as propaganda - but not as information.

Goran

"tolerance and reason, professional and medical ethics and solidarity"

think about it. what kind of person (if you can even consider them pepople) would block medical supplies? I guess the K albanians think the supplies are going to be used to make some sort of weapon of mass destruction, or a giant machine capable of hypnotising the entire population of kosovo. Dont see why else they would deny them. All the necessary paperwork has been filled out and the World Health Organisation stipulated the terms to the albanian politicans.

They cant ethnically cleanse us this time around, they might jeapordise their chances of coming independent by the year 8062.
