it seems most of the frustrations are coming from the albanians, is this false independence not the bed of roses you thought it would be? Corrupt goverment, lack of recognition? UNMIK talking to elected Serb councils? The best place for Kosovo os part of Serbia, like the UK a united kingdom. With the pre western goveremnt in power Serbia will go far.

@Adrian Gashi:

those alleged landmines and barbed wires do not seem to prevent the K-albanians to freely travel to Belgrade for medical treatment, if needed.

strange, isn´t it?

and those lousy comments on Serbia being irritated by Russia.. what a nonsense! Serbia is strongly committed to international law and even the Russians know AND say that Kosovo is serbian while the situation in Georgia/Abkhazi/Ossetia is pretty much different in regard to several points.

your propaganda is just too weak, boys.

what I wanted to say: whatever you try to fake here, it is doomed to fail.

but since the real and reasonable Albanians will hopefully prevail and throw off those criminals who love animal names like "snake" who are only serving american interests in the region.

we´ll have to wait a little bit longer than most here do expect it, but it will happen some day.

and UNSC 1244 is still current law. and there is no reason to believe it won´t be so in the future.

let´s just see what future brings!

Python: "The Nato did far more damage to Serbs than Serbia ever did to Kosovo Albanians"

Did Nato ever tried to expel 90% of Serbia's population out of their country, seizing their passports so they never return again?

lids: "There is no albanian to ever tell you they ever had barbed wires around them while Serbia ruled."

The barbed wires are on the bridge, not around the Serbs, and put there by the intls not Albanians. Albanians would like for those barbed wires to go and for the city to be reunited again, but the problem is in Belgrade.
While Serbia ruled, they didn't need barbed wires, they had landmines.

PJD: "there is no such ethnic group as "Kosovars""
That's right, Kosovar is a regional term not ethnic. A Kosovar is an inhabitant of Kosova, as simple as that. Kosovars come of many ethnicities, Albanian, Serb, Bosnian, Turkish etc. A Kosovar Serb has as much right to the institutions of the state as any other citizen, as it is obviously testified here by the presence of Milija Milosevic as the commander of the KPS in North Mitrovica. Therefore, all of you who are outraged as to why the person who fired the shots is not in police custody, maybe you should direct your queries to Mr Milosevic himself. By the way do you know any commander in the MUP whose last name is Rugova or Haradinaj or Thaci? Yeah, I didn't think so.
KPS is doing a great job considering the situation. Last week you had a Bosnian head - for heavens sake - in a plastic bag in the middle of a Belgrade sidewalk, is anyone arrested yet?

Ataman,

This is true and yes it is sick. The guy lives in England and of course that is the story said from his mouth not directly to me but to someone very close to me. No need to mention how speechless we both were realising finally that those peacekeepers are allowed to commit any crime and walk away free. I did not glorify this “peacekeeper” but just to show how the peacekeepers walk away with their crimes (sometimes just for disliking you) and how they really treat people in Kosovo, be they Serbs or Albanians. I also told the story about Belgian soldier killing two Serbs (that I can confirm since I was there that time working for Belgian KFOR).

So that is how the things stand in our province.

lids

That photograph speaks volume of reality in our southern province.
Albanians shooting at Serbian and not getting arrested is the reality of why they should never be granted anything else but wipe out of the whole system that started this mess and that includes NATO and UMNIK.
There is no albanian to ever tell you they ever had barbed wires around them while Serbia ruled.

Ataman

Maybe I should mention one British peacekeeper who praised around of killing one Albanian (he even doesn’t hide his excitement since he really dislike you guys).

That is how the things stand in our province Kosmet!

AFAIK, in Israeli army it is not kosher to voice anti-Palestinian opinions openly. If what you write about that Brit is correct, that is really, really sick. I am strongly on Serbian side but I won't ever go beyond verbal arguments...

Felix Romania,

You are absolutely right, no one will be taken into custody for firing a gun at Serbs. It has been always like that, since NATO entered the province. When Serbia lost its authority in province of Kosovo, as you probably know, Serbs experienced nothing else but atrocities and force by the Albanians and NATO forces did nothing to prevent these hordes of harming Serbs. The situation unfortunately continues and Albanians will never calm until they expel all the Serbs from the province. It must be also underlined that Bajram Raxepi wants to establish control over entire Mitrovica under any costs and I wouldn’t be surprised if he gives the instructions to these Albanian youngsters to incite the violence.

Dane,

Just to tell you that one Belgian soldier who killed two Serbs in Leposavic back in 2000. never faced any charges against his crime and was sent home immediately. He is probably serving somewhere else as a peacekeeper free as a bird. So, just get used to it that all the peacekeepers will never be tried for any crime they committee where ever they serve. Maybe I should mention one British peacekeeper who praised around of killing one Albanian (he even doesn’t hide his excitement since he really dislike you guys).

That is how the things stand in our province Kosmet!

PJD

Dane, there is no such ethnic group as "Kosovars". You cannot try to rip a group of people away from their country, the one they have always lived in and say their allegiance belongs to the region they live in which is now dominated by another ethnic group and expect them to meekly accept it.

Python

pre 15 godina

Your words are hollow Dane. By the same token we could say that the Serbia's door are open to Kosovo Albanians, they can enter anytime. The Nato did far more damage to Serbs than Serbia ever did to Kosovo Albanians and if you find it hard to rejoin Serbia then you can only imagine how impossible it is for Serbs to join the Nato.

Dane

To Felix, Romania - I tell you what is 'normal' in Kosovo:
UNMIK police fired at Albanian demonstrators killing 2 unarmed persons in a hotel hall they entered to avoid tear-gas. This is done by Romania policemen and nobody is judged.
Serb demonstrators fired at KFOR soldiers killing one of them. Soldier was from Ukraine and nobody is judged.
If you know more cases you can add to this list! Before you do it, please do a study work and you will be amazed from the results. I wouldn't be sure that Serbs are the victims only...

Felix, Romania

pre 15 godina

"... but he confirmed that the police had not taken anyone into custody". Hang on a second... are you saying that you can fire a gun at people and not be taken into custody? Is that alright in Kosovo as long as you fire on Serbs?

Dane

pre 15 godina

Let me guess... Everything started with Osetia, Abhkazia, Russia, Serbia, Kosovo... Dear Serb and Albanian Kosovars, please stay calm and start to be more close to each other. There is nobody more close to you, you need to show unity towards the others who are following their own interests only. Kosovo belongs to Kosovars, Kosovars belong to Kosovo... Good luck Kosovo on your own way, all your citizens will realize this belonging very soon...
As for Serbia, they were never more confused. Simply they don't know what this new situation means for the relation between Russia and them! Wake up Serbia, don't look behind closed doors, look for a new doors which are just nearby.
