You guys and gals cannot imagine our excitement during the democratic convention this week -- how dynamic were the speakers, how inclusive is our party, how intelligent and articulate are our leaders... generally i am ready to bad-mouth the politicians, of whatever party -- but not this week. this week i am totally caught up in the thrill, the glitz, the glamor, the headiness of it all. how long has it been, and such a long, long road.

8 years of that((*&^%%%% horrid bush regime, with their arrogance, their elitism, their wrong moves. ok, i agreed with the decisions in the balkans, but it was mainly just a continuation of the clinton doctrine, and thru our state dept. but almost every other pol decision, domestic or international, was flawed, deeply flawed, and some unforgivably so.

i am so hopeful for a renewal in the spirit of america, and of democracy. with all of its imperfections. i know that there are some of you who have never really "bought in" to democracy, and always see our imperfections. and we have them, many of them, but democracy allows the possibilities of so much richness, and after all what are the other choices? look around the world, and i think the answer is pretty obvious.

i am SURE that the Bush years (which have NEVER enjoyed a clear majority here, in the US, much less in san francisco!!) are coming to a very, very welcome end.

and our allies are all invited to party with us, election day (nov 4th, tuesday)eve and the following day, in person, or over cyber-space.

congratulations Democrats, mazel tov to the world!!!!

thank you/chvala mnogo/felamenderet
