Their first priority should be to organize an airplane re-fueling station to help the cargos of "genuine" cigarettes reach Independent Republic of Sicily safely.

Does Montenegro honestly believe they will be allowed into the EU before other Balkan countries or on its own?

IF (and I use that word in its strictest form) If the EU ever lets the Balkan countries in they will do so as a bloc, because they are simply to small population wise to do so individually. And lets face it the EU is going to spend a shiny penny every year or so throwing a "welcoming party" for the likes of Montenegro.

Peter's comment is pretty much on mark, though I don't think its electoral suicide that will freeze because of Kosovo. Rather the Balkan bloc's entry (Again if ever)into the EU. Which is a good thing! :)

Montenegro must still be sore about that water polo match.... vengeance is sweet. ;)

Or to put in even simpler words, PDS isn't in a hurry to commit electoral suicide.

That 'frozen status' in Kosovo appears to be spreading.

To translate it in simple words Montenegro is going to recognize Kosovo when it will do some big step toward EU. So if asked to choose between good relation with Serbia (not to recognize Kosovo) and good relation with EU (to recognize Kosovo), Montenegro will choose good relation with EU (recognizing Kosovo) although it knows that might cause some stir on Serbian back opposition party. But as it said clear independence of Kosovo is a reality that can be delayed to deal with but cannot be ignored. So stop assuming what Montenegro will do. It will recognize Kosovo with less cost as possible. It did recognize “Republic of Kosovo” passport just to delay the recognition as I mention above. It is about time and not if will happen.

He commented that even Serbia decided to return its ambassadors to EU member states “because it realized that regardless of whether the countries recognized Kosovo’s independence, it is most important for Serbia to continue cooperation with these countries and become an EU member”.

after 6 month the ambassadors were send back??

Albania had no diplomatic relations with US for 50 years for stupid ideological issues- for the "holy" land I think at least a year would make some honour ;)

I love the Serbian Gov/t position on Kosova: simply it's tragi-comical
