Tesla,

How can I be jealous if from an Hungarian-American point of view I see silver and from a Hungarian point of view I see gold? Can you explain me your twisted logic?
Anyway I have no problem to congratulate you for the bronze.

Well done Serbian water polo and all other Serb olympians, you make us proud and you inspire Serbia's youth.

Well done to Hungary for winning Gold also. Water polo glory belongs between Belgrade and Budapest hehehe

Ida,
I realize that Sefik did not play in the bronze medal game, but what he did before the game was huge. As most water polo fans like me know, for the past two years or so Sapic has caused nothing but problems for the entire team. He does not get along with anyone on the team, and has had incidendents with Ikodinovic, the captain Vujasinovic and has completely mired the atmosphere. While Sapic is an unbelievable talent, he is very selfish and a major head case.
After the loss to the US, which Sapic was mainly responsible for by his selfish play (taking shots from anywhere and missing them all), he apparently accused Sefik, while at the Olympic village, of taking money to throw the game at the European championships last month. This is when Sefik exploded and answered him with his fist. In the end Sapic had to go home with a broken leg, and Sefik came out of it with a broken hand. Without Sapic, Serbia played great and soundly beat a very, very good Montenegro team - this without 4 of their best players in the line up. The youngsters really stepped up and gave an unbelievable performance for their country. This bronze was huge, huuuge for the team. What Sefik did totally changed the team atmosphere, and I am sure all the other players are greatfull for it.
Bye the way, Sefik played great in the European Championships, and that Sapic would dare accuse him of throwing the game just tells what kind of character he really is. I think they have now learned, no more prima-donnas, no more special treatment for any players. Team spirit is far more important.
Cheers, and once again, congratulations Plavi Delfini! You played with big hearts and made Serbia proud!

still wanna sell us the story of being an american? :)

ps: congratulations to all medal winners, be it the Serbs, Hungarians or US-american waterpolo-players, who by the way have also proven to be great sportsmen by sending Ikodinovic some get-well-greetings via international tv-camera´s.

Of course we would have liked a gold, but given the Serbian team's adveristy a bronze is very nice.

We congratulate Hungary on their great water polo achievement, but also point out that Hungary hasn't beaten Serbia in 4 years in waterpolo, and we will always wonder what would have been if not for the injuries.

"It looks like that Sapic was the bad apple on the team and as soon as he went home they actually started playing like a team, not like a bunch of individuals.
Denis Sefik, thank you for resolving this situation"

But Sefik wasn't in this winning game either. People say there was a fight between Sapic and Sefik and that Sapic accused Sefik of taking bribes in a game to allow the opposite side to score goals. Interesting that with Sapic AND Sefik gone they win and there was a low goal total for Montenegro. Perhaps there has been corruption of a certain player or two which has cheated Serbia from winning games.

achieving the bronze-medal although missing two important players due to serious injuries, like Ikodinovic and Sapic, means showing the world a really olympic spirit.

well done, my congratulations.
