The UN Security Council is deadlocked over the situation in Georgia with the U.S. and Russia rejecting rival resolutions.

If Georgia feels that South Ossetia and Abkhazia are its territory and is occupied by Russia should fight to get it back and give Russia a lesson like Afganistan did many years back. Is it worthy fighting for? That is for Georgian people to make up their mind.

Get real! The Georgian president was unpopular with his own people to begin with. So he tried to create a diversion by sending troops into S. Ossetia ..... and he expected his overlord the US to back him up militarily .... then he found to his horror that Washington could do little more than scream and shriek. Russia 2008 is not Serbia 1999. And USA 2008 is a far cry from USA 1999.

I am aware that many people may not agree with me on that issue. If Georgia feels that South Ossetia and Abkhazia are its territory and is occupied by Russia should fight to get it back and give Russia a lesson like Afganistan did many years back. Is it worthy fighting for? That is for Georgian people to make up their mind.
