Multi-party system in peril -
Now this is why the Serbs in the diaspora more and more are losing interest in the homeland. I have to say that with Kostunica there was reason to be involved, but not any more. I travelled this year and last year to Belgrade, and as a tourist supported the economy and loved being part of the city life, staying with my family and going out to good restaurants and theatre. I loved it all, but something has become now unsavoury for me and I don't know when I will return!

It is actually the beginning of the democracy. In a democracy, Parties must be able to cooperate, not feed the population with message of Anger, violence, agressivity and racists.. Sorry to say that the SRS is kind of Racist. In electoral campaign, this is normal that those parties are opposed, but when come time to work, they be open minded and share their efforts in order to serve the population the best they can. Serbia can finally hope for a bit of stability, since the fact that 3 parties can work together shows that the extremists of Radicals and DSS are going to find their place very far in very deep holes where people won't anymore pay much attention to them.. It already started anyway.. An impressive number of people showed that they were tired of being treated like idiots by those Radicals and DSS (Baby Radicals). This is the best news for Serbia in a very long time.

Lessons in democracy from the guys who most like to use their fists and harsh language before engaging their brains. You couldn't credit it, really.

Personally I think that SRS should be more worried about a split within its own ranks. Nikolic has already gone on record to say that Seselj went behind his back.

Anybody notice the fact that Nikolic isn't involved with the most radical elements with the radicals anymore? That ghastly Vjerica woman and the ever servile Todorovic on the one hand and the ever hysterical Vucic on the other.

Which faction will win through I wonder. I suspect Seselj can remove Nikolic, but Nikolic can deal the party a heavy blow if he talks. So rather than face all that internal conflict the best policy (in the mind of the SRS MP) is just to attack the government with all force and hope the internal problems go away.
