Please continue what do you mean with "and then what?"

To Bad Gorila:
Do you think that only by having military presence and weapons Serbia can change the situation? If you are not so young you should remember what happened in 1999.

Kosovo has entered into a new era. By curtailing the activities of UN and pandering to the EU, Kosovo authorities signed into a bigger trap. UN had no accountability. Not so with the EU tax-payer's money being spent without any public accountability. EU Brussels has been unusually quiet, they realise that they may have bitten off more than they could chew. THey thought if UN people could run the place, why not us, the superior EU. Unfortunately, UN can afford to mess up Kosovo, but this is EU's first full scale 'mission' and they are not even ready. Friends within the EULEX are worried that Kosovo gov't just expects them to rubber stamp whatever they decide. Unfortunately, EULEX mandate is pretty intrusive into the powers of Kosovo govt. Atleast with a puppet Zannier, u could attack him publicly. If Kosovo gov't and press utter a single word of criticism against a politically connected French General Kermabon, it will be met with much behind-the-scenes warning. Apparently, its the US and EU now at odds over Kosovo. EU wants to give concessions to the Serbs, but US says "never negotiate with the Serbs." Kosovo just entered into a new era of uncertainty. For all the talk of big powerful countries recognising Kosovo, few are investing commercially in Kosovo. The Donor conference money is just aid money, if it is not well spent, Kosovo gov't will be blamed by the West. Apparently one of the project submitted for donor money was for a subway in Ferizaj/Urosevac. I am not sure if this is true or misreported, but Kosovo gov't got its priorities wrong. 5hr powercuts in August, water-shortage, etc, antogonises more people in Kosovo. And soon may lead to early elections. So-called friends of Kosovo will only help them on their own terms.

Serbia must conform itself to the fact that the Kosovo independence is a done deal. Serbia (nor Russia) does not have troops or military weapons on the ground there, so there is nothing concreto to change the situation created in February 17th.

hardly any surprise or secret, they were saying it openly from day one, if boris saakashvili wins in serbia, everything will go smoothly. this is the ruling collusion's policy, we wont recognize it but we wont do anything to stop it. i hope albanians are not upset with that icj smokescreen, dont worry, its nothing, an illusion that they are doing something to stop your land theft. what i would worry about though are the glass legs of this entire nato project and i mean in our part of serbia. and albanians i'm worried as much as you should be. this nato victory in serbia right now is so shaky, on such thin ice with under half of population supporting it and most of them not even really knowing what it is, that it cant last for long. and then what?

This latest slap in the face to Serbia, is just another painful reminder of how insignificant Serbia is in the eyes of the world.

It is probably better if Serbia were to align herself with more like minded nations such as Russia. It seems clear that Serbia would be a fish out of water in the EU. Serbia needs to align herself with more authoritarian regimes such as Russia. At least this way there will be far less disagreements with her Masters.

this is adding to the already crooked path chosen by the albanians and the west where their principle is THE END JUSTIFIES THE MEANS. only problem is if the objective of others are against their will then NEVER MIND THE MEANS.

b92; what you havent mentioned is that Eulex has already signed an ageement with the Kosova goverment the ony puts Eulex in the advisory position. which means that UNMIK is actualy handing power over to the Kosova goverment.

This is a historic moment for the republic of Kosova.
