I don't think those statistics are objective. Sure, the blue half of the Ukraine supports Russia, but the Orange side doesn't.

You can't say the Orange side was responsible, because it was orchestrated by the Nationalistic UPA as well as criminals from the Ukrainian Schutzmannschaft (all motivated by the SS). Also, the number was not 250 000, actually it did not go over 60 000. Poles from the AK also killed about 20 000 Ukrainians in retaliation. The point is that a small number of people carried out these horrible crimes and a whole people cannot be blamed for them. Should the whole of Russia be blamed for the Holodomor in the Ukraine (something I could use as some kind of argument for Ukraine not supporting the Russian side)? Anyway, if history was the only argument, would you be willing to say that Russians treated the Ukrainians worse than the Poles did?

Please don't be panic ! Loving Serbs doesn't mean hating all their enemies. In my private understanding loving Serbs means helping them to solve their problems ... not necessarily with military force. I think our 3 day war will encorage our brothers from further retreating under the EU blackmail and pressure.

" ... scaring the Ukraine and why they are pushing for Western integration out of fear of Russian domination."

Little statistics will be cold shower for you to stop dreaming over the Ukraine :

73% of the people of the Ukraine are backing Russia and 9% are backing NATO. These are the latest western researches.

So everything I mean is to replace the government which represents those damned 9% which by the way killed 250 000 of Poles in Volyn massacre of 1943 ...

Bravo Peter!

You said it so nicely. You are absolutely right. Few Russians, who write here regularely do not realize how much their nationalist rhetoric hurts them in the world and scares all their neighbors.

Unfortunately, it is that sort of nationalist rhetoric that is scaring the Ukraine and why they are pushing for Western integration out of fear of Russian domination.

You make Russia sound like some overly possessive boyfriend who cannot get over that his ex-girlfriends want nothing more to do with him. Why is the Ukraine and Georgia so important to you?

You have China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and other countries of unlimited natural resources as your allies in the SCO and CSTO, why do you insist on domination over tiny Georgia and Ukraine (who seem to be more attracted to having relations with Poland than Russia, since we have no intention of threatening them if they choose another side to ally with). Peace!

I don't think Russia will accept any proposal which will lead to another pro-US puppet by our side. This year we must have a friendly regime along our borders with Georgia and we don't care the rest of the details. Let them live the way they like it but let them not longer bother us cause next year we'll be busy with the Ukraine ...

"Friendly regime along our borders"
Hey Rote , as much as you like to vouch for Serbia on this site, but what you wrotte above is a nightmare for your beloved it Serbs. Please, read your own words again. In reality Serbia is in worst situation than Georgia, because Serbia is surounded by enemies and is landlocked, which I cannot say the same for Georgia. Check the world map first.

French proposal is nothing but a joint US-Georgian dream. French FM is a same russophob as his Georgian friend.
