"Gazprom’s management and the Russian government continue to insist that the provisions of the contract cannot be amended."

Not really the business of Gazprom and Putin's mob to tell the democratically elected government of Serbia what to do with state property, is it? The Russians had better respect Serbia's sovereignity or risk coming across as asset-stripping bullies. Wouldn't that be a change?

The fact that this government is dragging its feet on this deal, which is great for Serbia, tells you that they are controlled by the 'humanitarian bomber' gang - the US, Solana, and company. Let's hope the voters' wishes are respected and we have a government soon which looks after Serbia's best interests, not the colonialists.

I do not know, is the deal good or lousy, but deal is a deal. I more feel, this is the usual "efficiency" so typical for the entire larger area. Not that Russians would be terrific with efficiency or Americans wouldn't do idiotic mistakes, but...

Good to keep in mind: enver hoxha did prove: angering USSR and USA at the same time is the key strategy for success and rapid development of a small country. The results of his "success" are still felt.

Even better strategy: angering Russia, USA, EU at the same time. It does little matter, is it intentional or due some mismanagement.
